Reminds me of the hitman training mission when you have to take out a chess champion / defector informant and one of the ways was getting him to go through the procedures for a flight ejection and you rig it to actually launch him.
I’m not seeing how equipment failures or faults that lead to death equate to Darwin Awards. What immediate stupid action did the crew commit that led to their death?

Dude I loved that mission
Cane here to say this! Feels exactly like that mission…
That's some Looney Toons type accident
Accidents are no Darwin Awards, unless they triggered the ejection intentionally

I bet all the other bombers made fun of him for having premature ejection.
Sigh
Take this poverty award, ya mad lad. 🏅
Good! New pilots cost time and money. Russia has little of both.

"F-15 Ride-Along Passenger Accidentally Ejects While On The Ground "
Same thing I believe, Russia would rather blame equipment then a possible ride-along passenger.
Sorry Chief Marshal of Aviation Alexander Novikov; your son is dead, it was "equipment problems."
Or
Sorry Chief Marshal of Aviation Alexander Novikov; your son is dead, it was "a dip shit and hit the eject handle."
I think you mean: Last words: сука бляяяяяяяяяяяяяяяяяяяяять!
Being Russian, the last words would be "BLYAAAAAAAATT!"

I think there's an appropriate saying for this type of situation. ...What is it?
"Womp womp."
Ok ciao
The ol’ “Blyatt Splat”!
Oh no! Anyway...
"Oooh, wonder what this button does..."
I saw a russian Telegram post described their injuries as "incompatible with life" lol
That might just be the way it translates, but it gave me a chuckle either way
You mean "SUUUUUUUKKKKKAAAAA!"
