On the day it was set to close and leave 173 employees jobless, AreoFarms announced operations will continue after an infusion of money from another investor.

This isn't the first time the company has faced financial strains. It filed for bankruptcy in 2023 and exited it a few months later.

In August, AeroFarms announced it had refinanced its debt to support the Danville operation and raised equity financing.

  • I did some electrical contracting at that plant. I thought it was a cool place to work. Sounds like it's been circling the drain for a few years though. Hopefully they can figure out their finances and keep it open.
