    I have it too (both of my hands) and I am glad my parents decided to separate them. My hands developped quite normally and I can do almost anything with them. Only hard reaches like piano, guitar, the vulcan salute (lol) and picking up a ball from the flat ground are impossible for me.

    I had the surgery on both hands when I was a baby. I don't know how severe your son has it, but I suggest doing it, and doing it now while they are young. The scars will heal much better over time, and they won't remember much of the surgery or healing process after. Kids might be mean whether they notice his hands, or notice the scars.

    My son had the surgery as well, and we're very glad we did it.

    I was born with a very similar toe to the first two pictures and had a surgery as a kid to make it appear more “normal”. Not only did I have the second toe nail but also a small bone.

    I really wish I’d kept it and not done the surgery.

    I made the choice as a kid mostly because other kids teased me about it and I was self conscious. As an adult now with children of my own I think it would of been nice to have kept because it made me an individual and it would be a way of showing my kids that everyone is different and that’s ok.

    I also would have won a ton of bar bets in my 20’s which would’ve been fantastic!

    I have webbed toes ( syndactyly) on both feet. It runs in my family from my father’s side. My second and third toes are fused up to the toenails. Unlike this pic my feet are pleasant to look at.
