This happened to me when I was in college and I didn't know. Some strangers pulled up and honked and pointed at the mattress and kinda mimed how it was moving. I pulled over and tied it differently. I know my car better than that now but as a kid (like 18??) I didn't.
However with Mitsu and Suzuki they are cheap cars and most likely all the owner can afford. They seem to take better care of them than your typical Altima driver. There are wild ass drivers for any cheap used vehicles. Ford Fusions are near the top of that list behind Nissan drivers.
I don’t know man. Looks like a fun enablement device to me.
How can they not feel the drag and know something is up?
They can. They just dont care.
Sadly you're right. The color of the license plate says it all.
Edit: the color and the sequence
Those Mitsubishis are practically disposable cars which makes that plate older than the car it's on. SMH

So, js it is possible they don't know.
I did this, too. A friend helped me move and by the time we left I was drunk. After pulling over to fix it I still didn't get it right.
Gettin all them farts out!
Farts and bed bugs.
That’ll do a number on the gas mileage..
They had a guy lying on top to hold it down when they left their old apartment.
They are going to get lost in route 66
I understand that reference.
And that is how I ran over a mattress in 2003 on I-30 and got a flat tire.
How else would you recommend to air out your mattress?
This is what happens when you don’t also hold it quiet fu your hand while driving.
Whatever happened to left-hand-out-the-window-holding-it-down courtesy?
It would be worse on a Nissan. Certain death.
Lolllllllllllllllllll
Driving a modern Mistu is basically the same thing. There’s just not enough of them to become the meme the r/NissanDriver is.
To a certain degree. Yes.

But the box springs on top of the mattress to keep it flat. I don’t understand why so many people take 2 trips or put the box spring on the bottom

That's drs if I've seen it...all that down force 😂
Must've driven up from San Antonio.
That mattress is too clean to be from San Antonio…
Driver is confused because Miles per gallon drop to: 5
Just don’t go over 50 and you’re good.
That’s the sleigh ride, self driving one, about to take off
Could be bad
They're just running a test for who can get the worst MPG.
i would not want to be driving behind that
LOL, I recall posting one like this here a year ago 🤣🤣🤣
From San Antonio, looks normal to me. See it every day.
There’s a random mattress on the ground of the 75s in Allen… coincidence? 😂
Just airing out the dust mites. Blowing them straight through the other side. Good cleaning technique.
I always wonder if these people have allergies after filtering all that lovely highway smog.
This isn't going to shake off the bed bugs like he assumed but it will air dry the yellow pi$$ stain for sure.

this is what we mean when we say america has culture
this shit does not happen in canada 😂
Happens in Canada too
i’m canadian. that never happens and when it does, it makes the news
This is the most typical American Reddit comment thread ever.
u/Ech0shift (who I assume is American) correcting a Canadian on their experiences in Canada via a 2021 news article.
Amazing.
I was totally thinking this was an Indian driver. My short time and India showed some crazy driving habits.
Which is dumber, trying to move a mattress like that or using your phone to take pictures while driving on the highway?
To be fair, the passenger may have been the one taking the photo and not the driver.
That's definitely from the perspective of the driver. Center console is in the shot.
The passenger could have reached over to get a shot without the A-pillar obstruction. You got no evidence!
The latter….
No kidding, terrible for gas mileage
