For me, it’d be Lady Gaga x Daft Punk. ID KILL for a collab song. Honestly I think they’d both fit nicely well together, especially the R.A.M album aligns with Gaga’s Fame and Monster albums.
I’m literally typing this right after seeing Lady Gaga live tonight for the first time in Australia (also my first concert) and it made me wonder what the concert would be called if Daft Punk were to hold one final one.
I’ve seen good answers like “One more time” and “One more time around the world”. Those names for one last daft punk concert honestly fit so well.

Daft Punk and Gorillaz
This is the one. Both have such polished (even when it's rough) sound. Kinda surprised it never happened
Definitely
There’s no truer answer.
I was bouta say Daft Punk and Justice but there is the remix
It might have happened if Justice had agreed to open for the them. But I definitely see why Justice wanted to distance themselves as their own thing. I can also see Thomas or Guy working with the as individuals and not as Daft Punk now. Who knows lol c'est la vie
Who’s Gus?

daft punk + me
And it’s just them making more music and I’m in the back going “yeah that sounds good” “yeah I like it good idea”
i’m imagining you doing adlibs like the guy in this tiktok
Daft Punk & Jamiroquai would have gone hard
This is the one I would die for!
Oh my god that sounds AWESOME
Modjo, I know Thomas helped with lady but I wish we had an actual collab
Can you expand on that? First time i read about this connection
iirc Thomas sent them the sample or looped it for them. Something along those lines
A guy Raw Man follows on insta says that never happened, and I’ve seen no source for it
This band is so criminally unknown and underrated.
Wasn' t 'Lady' a huge tune everywhere in '00?
MGMT
I really don't know why they never did anything together. They know each other, and both love the others music.
I still love that one story where Tame Impala was talking to MGMT and these two guys he didn't recognize at a party, and agter anout half an hour of talking Tame Impala mentions that he heard Daft Punk was somewhere at the party which led to him basically having to be told that those two guys he didn't recognize were Thomas and Guy
Daft Punk and Aphex Twin (In Windowlicker mode)
Prince, David Bowie and/or Michael Jackson. And Phil Collins.
Too bad 3 of them are no longer with us, and the 4th is no longer able to produce any music.
In my mind, Instant Crush is for Bowie, I feel it coming is MJ.
I’d absolutely love for Daft Punk to be called by the Michael Jackson estate for song
Daft Punk and Air
There was a time when they were two sides of the same coin for me, the chill and the thrill of French electro
I think they would be awesome if they collab in some Discovery tracks.
Daft Punk + Michael Jackson
I always fantasize that if MJ wasn’t dead, the Robots would’ve asked him to lay some vocals on what is now Get Lucky.
Closest thing is Can't Look Into My Eyes by Kid Cudi, unreleased tracked that sampled both daft punk and Michael Jackson
That track is “Son of Flynn” from the TRON Legacy soundtrack, Kanye just put drums on it and added MJ samples.
The Chemical Brothers. I know they remixed Life is Sweet but I want a proper album and tour with all 4 members jamming out on stage.
Their recent albums have been teetering on the same style as Discovery and RAM, especially No Geography. (Listen to Eve of Destruction and Gotta Keep On)
At least have them reach out to Thomas as a producer, I'd be happy.
Daft Punk and Justice. Or even Tame Impala. After hearing Neverender, I just know Daft Punk could’ve cooked up something beautiful. With Justice, it would’ve been unstoppable
Both of them did remixes for them
Fred again....
Oh wait, it already happened 😎😎😎😎
Gorillaz or
or What
lol sorry I meant to put Magdalena Bay
Daft Punk & Vince Di Cola.
Daft Punk & The Midnight.
Daft Punk & Mitch Murder.
Daft Punk & Jean Michel Jarre.
Daft Punk & Cut Copy.
Daft Punk & Underworld.
Daft Punk & David Gilmour (Pink Floyd).
Daft Punk & Dave Angel (B2B DJ Set - Tech Funk).
Daft Punk & Paul Hardcastle.
Daft Punk & Masayoshi Takanaka
Daft Punk & Satoshi Fumi.
....
I could wish for so many.
But i do wish if Daft Punk did one more album that it would be an 80's city pop style album.
I really don't know how it could work but u'm curious now!
He played a really big guitar and he has cool happy album covers :).

This is a link to a Jean Michel Jarre Show. He has Brian May (Queen) play Guitar and other people playing all kinds of instruments you would'nt normally associate with Electronic music.
I do agree at first thought it's weird to imagine the combination music but when you hear it performed, it sounds good.
I guess its just me personally, i love those rare occasions when you get unusual combinations of music artists and the track or performance is a real good jam. :)
No.
Yes.
any female vocalist. honestly crazy that the only bit of non-sampled female vocals in their discography is the choir in touch. their music would sound so cool with a woman doing the singing. just listen to pentatonix's rendition of digital love in their daft punk medley
There’s a female vocalist on one of their tracks on their Cross album.
i don't recall Daft Punk recording Cross
or are you making an /r/okbuddydaftpunk joke?
Oh shit, I got mixed up and thought this was a question about wish list collabs with Justice! Sorry
Daft Punk and Dr Dre
The DNA of the sampler is in all of these two's music. So is the DNA of funk. But they took it to very different genres. Would have loved to see a daft Punk and Dre produced West coast hip hop album with Snoop on the mic or someone.
On the other hand, could you imagine Dre and daft Punk on a French house album .. would be incredible.
Daft Punk and Bon Iver. I think that would’ve been fucking fire. 🔥
Ratatat
Phoenix
Does Darlin’ or the MSG show count?
Daft Punk and Michael Jackson would have been f’in EPIC
Daft Punk and Justice along with Gesaffelstein
Tame Impala
At least we got New Gold with Gorillaz
Glimmer is pretty daft punk coded imo
daft punk x George Michael
Very nearly happened, and it’s possible there’s demos:
https://djmag.com/news/daft-punk-asked-george-michael-collaborate-2005-album-human-after-all
I thought it was George Michael that asked for a feat and Daft Punk declined, didn't think it was the opposite
Daft Punk did demo for Freeek! single, I wish someone will share it one day
Daft Punk and Michael Jackson on RAM... the collabs with The Weeknd are the closest we have gotten.
Timbaland
Kaytranada
Florence + the Machine
Daft Punk and Arctic Monkeys. I feel their approaches to music will blend well together. Ordered Chaos I like to call it.
I would have to say Kylie Minogue. Both were at their peak at the same time. Kylie is very versatile and would have complemented with daft punk very well.
Daft punk and jamiroquai….
Daft Punk and Fred Again...
Maybe Guy-Man gets feeling someday and they make something.
Daft Punk Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson
Imagine a daft punk and MJ song on RAM
Tame Impala or The Prodigy would have gone so hard.
daft punk tame impala or jawsh 685(he makes some fire beats cant lie imo)
Daft Punk with Moby
DP + The Chemical Brothers
There is a remix, but still...
Damn no one said Glitch Mob yet? I feel like their earlier stuff would vibe super well with Daft Punk. Their newer stuff, ehh....
With Michael Jackson and Empire Of The Sun 🤧
Daft Punk x Hideki Naganuma
MJ and Daft Punk, even more so knowing that RAM is heavily inspired by Thriller (the back of the cover is practically identical).
Domi + JD Beck + Thundercat
Gorillaz or Thom Yorke
Daft Punk x Hatsune Miku.
100 Gecs and early daft punk style would be sick
MF DOOM
Daft Punk and Fatboy Slim
Daft Punk and Tame Impala would be amazing
Bowie !!!
I honestly don't feel like many people would work collating with them unless its like RAM/modern pop era.
If it was their electronic then there's loads of possibilities. Vitalic might be a good one? Or Cassius?
Definitely not Justice though or any other French electro groups, the style just wouldn't mix well.
I heard a rumor of Daft Punk and Madonna were potentially getting together to work on her Confessions On A Dance floor Album. I think that would have been a really good collaboration.
highly recommend you all checkout “Thriller Access Memories” on youtube. best mash up i’ve ever heard
I would have loved to have seen a Collaboration of Daft Punk and Skinny Puppy. Different faces of Electronic Music collaborating together would have been magical.
Amy 🫶🏻
Daft Punk and Marc Rebillet.
(and not just because both have great "One More Time" songs)
Daft punk and Kraftwerk would be the most interesting collaboration
Nine inch nails.
Daft punk and 3D from Massive Attack
Daft Punk and Jamiroquai has always been my dream collab. 2 funkiest bands out there, joining forces. That'd be rad
Daft Punk & Underworld
Daft Punk, Jimi Hendrix, Sade.
Daft Punk x Death From Above 1979
MGMT, Tame Impala and Kaytranda
I guess we got Tame Impala and Justice, which is close.
Daft Punk and Herbie Hancock.
Daft punk X justice
Daft Punk and Beck
Daft Punk X Michael Jackson
Gorillaz, Björk, and Tame Impala
Justice
As a collab MOMENT, I really wish the robots got to walk out at a Weeknd concert and cook up during either or both of their songs together
Midnight Generation
Pharrell Williams, The Weeknd, and this might sound out there, but the guy from the muppets would be cool.
Twenty one pilots
KMFDM
I wish Guyman and Thomas would collab on a new album
Daft punk x chemical brothers x prodigy
Stardust / Madonna It would have been really cool if they ended up finishing the album, and actually got Madonna to do vocals for one of the tracks because of the whole Music Sounds Better On Holiday mix that Thomas would always play on his Together/Cassius Tour
Here's my Daft Punk Collab Wishlist (Not in Order):
Michael Jackson
Justice
Tame Impala
Stromae
Gorillaz
Aphex Twin
Gesa
RadioHead
Phoenix
Prince obviously
Daft Punk x Michael Jackson
MJ would fit so we'll in RAM
Daft Punk and Michael Jackson, and they made a song that was either on Discovery, or made a song(s) that are in a similar vain to the ones they did with The Weeknd
Daft Punk & Air
Tame impala, Thundercat, Gorillaz, and Deadmau5
L’imperatrice, purple disco machine, Parcels
Daft Punk and John Paul Jones on Bass
Daft Punk x The Algorithm
Daft Punk and Stardust
Daft punk and Limperatrice
Daft Punk & NIN. Can’t even imagine what that’d sound like!
Basic answer but avicii, shame they released their last album before he blew up
Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson Edit: on a more niche note, Boy Harsher.
DAFT PUNK X GEORGE MICHAEL WOULDVE BEEN LEGENDARY
Ariana Grande or NMIXX. Ariana's voice goes very well with electronic music, and I wonder if Daft Punk would've come up with a way to make her voice work like an instrument, like she does with a loopstation.
Daft Punk x SOAD
nope nope nope
Here's my list:
System of a Down
Chainsmokers
DPR
Maneskin
Polyphia
Marshmello (CUZ WHY NOT)
GERARD WAY AND DEADMOU5E
MARTIN GARRIX
ALVIN HARRIS
MY WASHING MACHINE
Maneskin?
Soad? What would that song be? It wouldnt work lol
You just gotta have vision man. I'm talking the earlier, more rough Daft Punk albums, like rock and roll. Maneskin would be hit or miss.
You never talked about any phase, all you did was list your favorite rock bands. However it doesn't even make sense, they barely had "rough" songs, compare that to SOAD songs such as violent pornography or X, doesn't make sense. The fact that you like em doesn't mean they're a good lineup.
"You gotta have vision, man"
Yes, I deeply thought through this lineup, and after a lot of thinking, decided to add SOAD, Marshmello, and my noisiest electrical appliance.
Thank you for pointing out the many nuances I put into this list of very well thought out musical artists I spent a lot of time to put together in all seriousness and zero sarcasm.
Except for Deadmau5, all these artists are dogshit
Calm your neckbeard man, not everyone can have the same preference in music. Not everyone has taste.
