Keep an eye on his feet. If they are small- he may stay small. If theyāre big for his size- that tells you he will be big. Heās Adorable!! Thank you for adopting him.
His paw size should be indicative of his full grown size. Large paws , large dog. Heās adorable. His future is in your hands. Kind and loving parents transfer to fur babies. I saved a big pittie mix who was the sweetest kindest dog! Loved everyone, especially children.
My Chihuahua of 18 years just passed away, but we also have a pitbull. Sheās the best thing ever I love her, but our pitbull is devastated and sad so we thought we would get a companion. My dogs go on vacations with us on the boat to the beach. They have a great life.ā¤ļø
Ehhh it doesn't always work like this. I had a dog that grew up to around 14 kg but people were always saying she was gonna be huge because she had big paws when a puppy. I also know a dog that was underfed as a puppy and looked to be a small breed but turned out huge when adopted to good living conditions
A mutty mutt. What region are you in? It has a sweet face and cool color, like a chesapeake bay retriever mixed with a Leonberger (i'm completely guessing here).
puppies usually have softer fur. when they get older they go through a shedding and get their adult-fur. it's very possible that ur and ur sisters doggy are the same/similar breed even tho the puppy is softer. my doggy has hair similar to a boar and he was also soft as a baby. I'm glad u saved the little baby, too many lost dogs out there anf people keep breeding more..:/
I rescued one 13 yrs ago. She was like 4 months here. Mine definitely has Shepard/husky mix in there she sheds like nobody's business and smart as a whip.
Mutts are the best! You get all the good stuff from lots of different pups! This guy has 3 different prominent breeds, Pitt, Chow, and Bulldog, and he's the sweetest, easiest going dog I've ever seen!
I had a Catahoula and he was such a good nature dog. Would go around the neighborhood for pets. I lived on a back street so cars were cut to a minimum and I had a private drive to my house. We love that dog had him his whole life got him from the people we bought my house from.
I didnāt think about ordering one off Amazon, but he has a vet appointment next week so I was going to get it done there but itās probably a lot cheaper off Amazon
I donāt think vets have DNA kit they can just tell you by experience what they think. The DNA kits on Amazon run about $100 to $120. It depends on what you want to know.
It's so hard to tell with puppies that young, but looking at how his head is shaped, maybe plott hound/bully breed mix? His brindle is so beautiful, he's going to be a stunning dog
The lady that we rescued from adopted out the other two. She kept them for a week first to make sure they were healthy and eating. I just donāt see how a person can dump off dogs on a dirt road. Iām just hoping that person knew that these people were animal rescuers I just donāt know how somebody could do it.
People that dump dogs out like this make me sick š”
They should never be able to own an animal again for the rest of their life š¤Ø
I love your dog. Itās beautiful
Thank you for giving him a good loving home
Have your dog DNA tested- itās inexpensive and based on real science- not
Your or your Vet v
can obtain the swab set(google it) and send it in
Within a week you Really Know what youāre Pup is
No I donāt care just curious. Iāll have a DNA test done, but honestly, it doesnāt matter to me. I fell in love with the dog. I got the dog and the dogs going to have one of the best lives.
I don't have clue to what breed he might be, but he is one of the cutest little balls of fluff ever! Thank you for saving him. Were you able to get his littermates to a safe place?
Two more families adopted them. They were left on a dirt road but they were left close to a well-known rescue volunteer lady. They are amazing people and they kept them for a week just to make sure they were healthy and eating.
Unfortunately, My dog of 18 years passed away. We didnāt want to get another one right away, but our other dog is really depressed so we thought it companion would probably help.
I have some wisdom for you. Take care to train your pup not to be afraid of vehicles; they will remember being abandoned andcan develop a fear of getting into cars.
Its an issue with the dog my father (found abandoned on a road) adopted and its basically impossible take him to the vet.
Definitely has brindle coloring all the multicolor mixed. Please make sure you hurry up and do their shot like PARVO is so big right now going on. Thank you so much for saving this dog.
Thank god for you. So gentle and brave. What did you do with brothers? I wish I had a house I would take one looks like he ll be a special family. Thank you for your goodness and compassion
I rescued one of our babies abandoned in a box on the side of the road. She was so tiny I could hold her in one hand. My husband was rolling his eyes when he came home ( she brought another mouth to feed homeā¦then they became inseparable) I took her to our town vet to find out what I could expect in terms of breed and size. He laughed and said, āYou would have to go back a few generations to find a thoroughbred here!ā She was a complete mix and one of the best dogs ever!
Congratulations on your new family member. āŗļøWhat a well behaved puppy. There are a few DNA tests available. They can take 3-5 weeks for the results. We did that, and were a little surprised at some of the results. But with that information we could look into medical and lifespan for those breeds. Wishing many many happy and healthy years together. Give puppy a cuddle from me
I love the coloring. I have a rescue dog with rose ears, and he is a brindle. He wasnāt quite full grown and it doesnāt help you at all to guess. He could be at least a medium sized dog. But wait for the vet. I think mine looks like a Dutch Shepherd mix.
Itās really hard to tell what breed but going by the paw size I would say you fur baby is going to be medium sized. Heās so adorable though and I hope he can help your pittie smile again
Itās really hard to tell what breeds puppies are, their traits are hard to distinguish.
The brindle can be from a boxer, bulldog, or bully⦠his ears and head shape can be shepherd, border collie or the likeā¦
Heās SUPER cute! I think you should post this again in 6-8 months so we can try again
You can do a DNA test to find out for sure but he looks like a pit/boxer mix def brindle coloring. What a sweet baby!! You didnāt adopt him you rescued him!! Good on youššš¾
He looks like a younger fluffball version of my bud. My friend that rescued him originally thought he was he was a pit mixed with either German Shepard or Belgian malinois but as he gets older and growing into his build and his ears keep lifting with time Iām pretty sure heās full or mostly Dutch shepherd. We rescued him at 2 months heās now 6 months (6 months in the pic too) I have met a few dogs that look just like him and yours that are crazy mixes though. My neighbor has a four-year-old girl that looks just like my dog and is the same size that he is but sheās full grown. sheās mixed with pit, husky, hound dog, some kind of shepherd and others I donāt remember.
Heās a brindle, but hard to know what the mix is. I saw a chihuahua terrier mix on a fb adoption site that looked similar. Hereās the pic. Very similar!
First, God bless you for taking in that puppy.
Second, I donāt know how people can be so cool. I miss my dog so much. I donāt think I can get another.
Sheās brindle, so may have some Plott hound in there if she has big feet. Please watch her for worms & if she diarrhea, ER Vet since you donāt know where she came from.
Has gorgeous Brindle markings...found a lot with boxers, greyhounds and bulldogs ...Thank you for giving this sweet pup a loving home...I'm sure he/she will love you to no end...I hope his sibling finds a home
Treeing TN brindle, mtn cur, plott houndā¦. Staffies come in brindle. Itās likely a mixed breed. But whatever it is, itās a unique and beautiful little life.
Pittie super mutt. Bridle coat does suggest Boxer, greyhound or even frenchie. Do check for paw size as an indicator for their adult size. Big paws usually mean a large dog. Glad you a have a few new fuzzy additions to your family! <3
What a little cutie pie. Thank you for saving him.š¾ā„ļøš¾
We already love him so much. We just wish we knew what he was or what size heāll be. I canāt get him into the vet until next week.
Keep an eye on his feet. If they are small- he may stay small. If theyāre big for his size- that tells you he will be big. Heās Adorable!! Thank you for adopting him.
Vet may have some good guesses on what breeds he may be. His color is gorgeous.š
So adorable!! What happened to his brother, did you rescue him as well? š„°
His paw size should be indicative of his full grown size. Large paws , large dog. Heās adorable. His future is in your hands. Kind and loving parents transfer to fur babies. I saved a big pittie mix who was the sweetest kindest dog! Loved everyone, especially children.

A mutty mutt. What region are you in? It has a sweet face and cool color, like a chesapeake bay retriever mixed with a Leonberger (i'm completely guessing here).
We live near South Georgia, but more in a country area
I mean no offense, but when you specified āSouth Georgiaā and then followed that up with BUT āin a more country areaāā¦
Well, the air very quickly moved out of my nostrils.
Haha I live like an hour from Savannah Georgia. But itās definitely country where I live.
I think Leonberger would be much bigger possibly more fur???? Iām guessing too
I have no idea haha
The markings are a Merle. He is a gorgeous color. What did you name him? safe to say heāll be a good medium size dog
Thatās brindle not merle
But Merle would be a great name for him
Youāre right. My dog is brindle and sheās a Plott Hound mixed with a Boxer. She looks all Boxer and sheās a great dog.
We are going with diesel. Heās only around six or eight weeks old, but that thing is powerful. Haha
The colours are giving me plot hound vibes.
Thatās what my sister has and we were kind of thinking the same but mine is a little fuzzball so Iām assuming itās mixed with something
puppies usually have softer fur. when they get older they go through a shedding and get their adult-fur. it's very possible that ur and ur sisters doggy are the same/similar breed even tho the puppy is softer. my doggy has hair similar to a boar and he was also soft as a baby. A brindle cutie. I see a lot of breeds in there. ā¤ļø
Yes, sheāll possibly just be a cute little mutt. Weāre OK with that.
I rescued one 13 yrs ago. She was like 4 months here. Mine definitely has Shepard/husky mix in there she sheds like nobody's business and smart as a whip.

White Lab?
No sheās a small, very delicate, I was told Parson Russell and chiuaua, but not sure if she is mixed or not
He's got some Catohoula hound in him by the colors...
The first pic is a Catahoula expression but I see my parentsā Catahoula mix all the time so Iām probably projecting!

It will for sure. Sorry about your old pooch, it's never easy.

A mixed breed nobody wanted . My guess is he will be the best dog because of this formative years
Oh my goodness!!! He/she is precious!!! Lucky you and him/her!!! š¶ā¤ļøš¶
Cutie pie.
So cute! He looks to be a very serious brindle marshmallow. Looking at this picture no specific breed traits jump out at me. Maybe some boxer.
Cute
What he is, is beautiful!!

He is a lucky dog to have encountered you. Beautiful pup! āŗļø. Do you know what happened to his litter mates?

I would guess Hound/Shepard/pittie
Well from my expert opinion heās a cool little dude that stumbled upon a lifelong friend š„°š„°
Without vaccines, I wouldnāt take that little cutie pie anywhere that other dogs have been or even may have been.
Happy trails op.
He's a little doll! He looks like a Catahoula. They're great dogs - very good natured!! Congrats!!!
No idea what he is but he is adorable. I have a brindle pup and there is nothing cuter in the world in my opinion. ā¤ļø
Hes obviously of the breed "good boy". Look at those little teeth!
Possibly some Catahoula Leopard dog in him⦠maybe.
A d.o.g. Possible Mongrel.
And very Fuzzy! Name him Fozzy Bear!

He looks part pittie
Looks like there could be some cattle dog there. What a beautiful puppy š
1000% adorable is what he is
If itās not gonna get to big is prolly a terrier mix, so adorable
Failed hog hunters: Catahoula Lab Hound mix. My bf rescued four in Central Texas, abandoned by tweekers. Loving and loyal companions.

sooo cute!!
He looks to be purebred precious, and the low lifeās who left him are monsters.
Catahoula
Thank you for saving this sweet baby š„°
looks like a keeper to me - great job OP
Pittie super mutt. Bridle coat does suggest Boxer, greyhound or even frenchie. Do check for paw size as an indicator for their adult size. Big paws usually mean a large dog. Glad you a have a few new fuzzy additions to your family! <3
I think this is a tiger spot in China.
Dutch shepherd
