Hey guys, so I used to mix eLiquid a lot and eventually got lazy and just started diluting 20mg liquids. My nic is 72mg PG base. I have used it for a long time and just revisited DIY because I live in Ireland, and the new tax is 50c per ml of eLiquid making 10mls of liquid 12 EUR. Insane.
I want to quit, big time, I'm sick of being dependant on nic. So i just mixed a flavorless liquid at 6mg freebase nic. Flavorless because my logic is to make it the least bit enjoyable as possible. But good God I am salivating like crazy after vaping this, it's actually crazy. I pop out for a vape and when I go back in to work I'm struggling to talk without drooling.
I'm wondering if it is because it's flavorless or if it is something to do with the nicotine oxidising, because it is a touch spicier than it used to be and has a slight colour tint to it.
Has anyone else had salivatory gland overdrive from vaping?
I have multiple litres of 100mg PG base in the deep freeze. I take one out to mix from at a time. By the last 120mL or so it's a bit oxidized. Other than a bit more of a throat hit and probably an unnoticeable loss of potency, it's fine. Haven't noticed any excessive salivation. But everyone's different.
If it has only a slight color it's not highly oxidized. I used to mix in house liquids for a little boutique vape shop. They used the cheapest nic they could find. It was bright pink and peppery. I found a little bottle of opened originally good quality nic base that had been in my basement seven years and it was pinkish.
Maybe you are sensitive, but it does not sound like your nic is any more than slightly oxidized, which most nic is anyway.
