So thankful ED in the past years toned down his over sexualization of female costumes. He really is a talented artist when he doesn't let his primal instincts influence him.
I like Ed’s art and can see your point, but even here, this art is pretty sexualized. He gives Diana cleavage when her outfit is designed in a way to not show any.
It might just be because this piece hasn't been inked yet but from comparing it to past images of her it doesn't really give off the impression of cleavage. Maybe her chest might be slightly bigger but again it's hard to say for certain until it's inked and even then it really isn't super noticeable compared to his older drawings of WW at least.
You can see the line for it right above the plate on her chest. The plating is also skintight and smaller, as opposed to the bulkier look Sherman gives it.
I’m not even meaning to put him down, I enjoy his art and do think this is more tasteful than how he’s drawn her in the past. I just don’t believe it’s devoid of sexualization.
The link you provided led to a blank image so I looked up his artwork and the armor doesn't look bulky at all, baggy perhaps but not bulky at least not what id consider bulky compared to other characters, and again comparing other artists who have drawn her there isn't a staggering difference in design (though some go back and forth between whether her arms are very muscular or only slightly muscular for some odd reason.)
I will concede other artists do often draw it similarly. I think they’re set on Wonder Woman’s typical design which does often have a lower plate and translating it to her Absolute version.
That is a very good point, it can be difficult for artists to not default to main versions of characters when doing alternate versions of them. It's kinda similar to pronunciation of words in different languages everyone will always be tempted to default to how they typically say it versus saying it another way.
Look I like sexy women as much as the next guy but there should be some level of self control in making them look like their private parts are borderline close to being visible.
It's an amazing drawing but the face looks nothing like Absolute Diana. It's just generic beautiful woman face
All of his art is like that. I feel like he could go to the next level but just likes to get by on mid cheesecake art.
To be fair, none of the faces in comics are consistent. Unless it's the same artist drawing it.
It’s an issue when the character has a very distinct face/facial features though
Yes, but it has to be more than some shape of the nose. Artists always take liberties with the faces.

"Primal instincts" 😂

The art I was trying to link was the one here.

His brother, Fred Benes, though, is still an absolute horndog lol
Look I like sexy women as much as the next guy but there should be some level of self control in making them look like their private parts are borderline close to being visible.
He got the face completely wrong
As much as I like Benes' art, I wish he made her face look like Absolute WW's here
He's actually moderately talented when he keeps his hand off of his dick.
Moderately? come on this is better than moderately
Yeah seriously I don't know what they're on about. Benes is insanely fucking talented.
Great artwork
it doesnt look like her at all 🥀
Good art but bring that top back up where it belongs eddy boy. Also missing the part underneath and strap on the right side.
