Been working on my own Superman design. Emblem inspired by the Fleischer design. I was specifically trying to go for something simple that could conceivably be an alien symbol that resembles an Earth "S".
Was originally going for a much lighter theme with bright blues and greys but found myself preferring darker colors. Ended looking like it would fit in next to Bruce Tim's Batman Beyond.
Also my first time experimenting with markers. I usually just sketch in pencil greyscale.

Yo, pretty solid concept, honestly. I've seen a lot of redesigns to make the Slash read more like an S, but most of them totally lose the abstraction that makes the Slash interesting. I feel like this actually threads that needle pretty well.
I'd love to see the top design in pic 2, but with red lining all around like Superman 2025's Slash. Just to lean a little bit more into the abstract and see how it looks.

I realized that what I was thinking was the same thing you already did in slide 1 (design 2). I don't know how I missed that haha
Yeah it looks good but a few people told me is could also look like an "N" with all the red borders connected.
