Spotted out in the wild last weekend. The other driver’s front end was obliterated and she was on the phone, probably pissed off that this cyberhyuck had only a dent and a broken tail light.

  • only a dent and a broken taillight - total repair cost $52000 🤣

    Insurance: that shit totaled

Bold of you to assume they have insurance.

Fun fact, because Teslas have a high rate of being totaled from fender benders due to excessive repair costs (that'swhat you get when you make a car that can only go to a dealership for repairs), some of the bigger insurance companies won't insure them. If you see a Tesla with body damage, it most likely is under a salvage title.

Correct. The rates on Tesla vehicles are generally extremely high, and that’s not because they’re just sooooo fancy— it’s because they cost a fuckton to repair and aren’t worth it

It's funny because my wife and I talk a lot about expensive household appliances being the same way. They look cool and can do all sorts of things but if they break, they cost a fortune to repair.

I'm fine with things not being top of the line as long as they are reliable and sensible.

100% agree with you and your wife! I would rather have the most basic of kitchen appliances than the ones with a fuckton of tech. I want my appliances to either store food, cook food, or clean food; I don’t need it to have a computer inside telling me what it’s doing as I go along. I just need it to function reliably

Avoid any washer and dryer with a brain board. Bought a speed queen washer years ago because they are mechanical with no electric sensors they are used in Laundromats day in day out take a beating and just keep going. Had a heat sensor go on our dryer go out .When appliance repair guy came to fix it cost a little under 100 bucks for part and labor.we asked him what model dryer he would recommend.his answer was just by the most basic one you can buy.He explained the basic major parts of dryers and how they are designed has not changed in years the drum the motor and the belt.He said avoid models with electric touch controls a lot of money with a high failure rate .when comes to dryers keep it simple and cheap.

Probably a nightmare to insure that

If it's the fault of the other driver, what matter is whether the other driver has insurance.

Ignoring the fact that it is also dead in the water. The other car obviously has moved away from the accident, the CT cannot or it would have. It's also sitting over the double yellow - so that 4 ton hunk of shit got displaced by a sedan hitting it, well, that's a lot of shock transmitted to the people in the CT, not exactly a bragging point.

Hmm, no tire marks on the pavement, so I don't think it got pushed sideways. More likely it's sitting exactly where it got hit. Perhaps it came out of a parking lot on the far side of the street, and intersected courses with a car coming out from this side.

  • The new CyberTrucks are said to be sold with a trailer comes standard to haul body parts as they fall off.

So the charge lasts half as long due to the extra weight..🤣😹

Too funny that’s a good one

  • I’m surprised the wheel is still attached.

Because of your constant whining we've installed a backup connection system to our wheels. No other vehicle on the road (not suitable for off road) had this technology and we've provided it for a nominal upgrade fee. Industrial grade Velcro now guarantees the wheels probably won't fall off. Now say you love the truck and let's move on.

  • I finally saw one of these IRL and was riding right beside it and I think the hatred everyone has for it has been well, well it just hasn't been enough. It's the ugliest f****** thing I've ever seen on the road. There's no way some gag fart hasn't questioned all of his life choices while signing paperwork for one.

I have seen several of these on the road. Yesterday I was out and about, and got to look at one that was parked. It had a dark olive green wrap, talk about ugly. Of course, no external door handles. I immediately thought, "what if the CyberJunk was wrecked, how could anyone open the doors from the outside?"

  • I think that it’s normal for the rear bumper to look like it’s falling off - kind of like on a Nissan Altima only from the factory. So the damage here might be all that bad.

    Just glue it back on!

  • Firefly quote?

Right, but I could totally see the alliance driving these electric dumpsters around

  • Big deal. I was rear ended by an Audi while driving a minivan. My van had a small dent the size of a baseball and the Audi was completely totaled.

  • Totaled in a fender bender is a small price to pay for owning the libs. The people who spent money on this vehicle are NUTS.

Do Cybertruck owners buy a vehicle to "own the libs"? I think it has more to do with owning something different-looking even if its impractical and poorly made. If anything, the Cybertruck is an EV, something Conservative dude-bros hate.

  • Do you know that was from a collision? Because a CT can get that same exact damage driving over 30mph.

I saw one hit a pothole at 5mph and split in half, luckily I had a glue stick in the car and fixed the cybertruck to better than new condition

  • He is not a leaf on the wind.

  • Every time I see one of these things it looks dumber and even more pathetic. It must be tough driving around and knowing everyone around you thinks you're a twat.

  • Another one bites the dust.

  • Another CT supplying the used car parts market.

  • “Indestructible “

You mock, but no other vehicle would be totaled by so little damage!

Ikr, you could probably total a cybertruck by urinating on it

  • Only a dent!? ??? !!! What are you, the black knight? "Merely a flesh wound!"

  • That CT is totalled.

  • You can’t park there

  • Hewstone we need pit stop 😝😝😝😜

  • It was a Nissan leaf. Or the wind.

  • Ok, I’ll be the first… here for the Firefly reference! Shiny ✨😎

  • Wondering how the crash went down, the CT looks like it was about to make a left, but how did the other car hit at that angle?

  • I thought gas prices were supposed to be $1.98/gal across the country?

  • Is this in Michigan?

  • Yeah, but the primary buffer panel is NOTORIOUS for falling off.

  • Some vigilante out there kamikaziing their 95 honda accord into these beasts for the greater good
