The solves were pretty good for me, i'm sub 12 at home and 2 of my 3 competition avarages are too. My problem is that i want to be faster but have not improved for more than a year. The christmas break has just begun for me, so i want to do something like the winter arc memes of last year, but for cubing. I recorded three solves and recomstructed them. I'll post the recons in the comments. I'd like to get some advice on how to get faster. I know full oll and pll and also coll excludimg sune and antisune cases. I don't really have a main speedcube, since i lost my gan 12 while hiking, so i'm just using whatever feels good at the moment. These solves were done on the ys3m ballcore. I'm planning to use the gan 100 when it arrives. If you know any good targeted practice methods, please share them too.
And yes, i know, i'll clean my desk soon. And no, i'm not getting a proper cubing mat in the near future.

Here are the first 2
Particularly on the first solve you’re probably doing too many F moves. Again you’re faster than me but you did pair 2 and 3 with F moves and then for pair 4 did a y. I mean your F moves are really fast and you’re not locking up or anything but just something to consider.
I'm already working on the weird inserts, i haven't done the usual Fw R' Fw' for a while. I didn't think about the normal f moves thought. But now that i do, they do usually cause lock-ups if i'm not careful. Thanks And being slower doesn't mean you can't give advice, especially if the difference is only about a second.
For why are you avoiding wide F moves? Just curious?
I am not at that speed yet but it is faster for me to just rotate and insert than do that
but maybe in some cases, like if you know for a fact that you will end up having to undo the cube rotation, it is better to do wide F inserts

And here is the 3.
You can go through my profile and find my improvement practice routine. I’m slower than you but I think it will be relevant for you too, just with different goals.

Also I’d say your biggest area of weakness is PLL you locked up on PLL every solve even on a jperm which is so easy and fast there really shouldn’t be any lockups there.
I'd say that's also because i don't have a real main at the moment. I'm not really used to these cubes, but yeah i'll work on them more, maybe with pll time attacks. Thanks for this one too
I personally main the Weilong v11, love it and highly recommend it.
Sub 10's kinda the point where you're slowly getting limited in what areas to improve I think, cus as far I see it, you're doing pretty great. You're solutions for each pairs are already quite fast and efficient.
Though for that matter, I do think you could benefit from better look ahead. One way to practice this would be slow solves, but you focus on looking ahead to the next pair when solving, then try to speed up as you get better. Another thing would be to just drill LL over and over as much as possible so that you no longer lock up on any of those algs. Again, I'm not really better than you since I just reached sub 15 so what I've said are just things I plan on doing to reach sub 10. But I hope this helps either way.
I also do think that this is the point where having a main or cube that really sticks with you will benefit you in the long run, so if you can, trying out a variety of cubes might help. Though you might like the v100, even though it's already great out the box, I suggest you try setting up it up to light settings. The magnets are strong so you can still somewhat control the cube even if it's fast since the auto alignment really helps keep it in cube shape, as well as adding resistance at the start of turns.
