We are in need of your support and feedback to try out and test the new Community Currency app!
For those who don't know me, I'm the developer of the Community Currency app and former version known as u/CommunityCurrencyBot. Every month I've been responsible for performing the monthly moon distributions for r/CryptoCurrency and I'm am pleased to announce that the next generation of community points is on the verge of a full release!
We're patiently waiting on Reddit's app review team and hope that we can sunrise Community Points that was sunset over 2 years ago.
The Community Currency app is packed with several user economy features and many more are under development!
Earn point rewards from posts and claim them in-app
Track transactions and points reward balances
Tip others users on their posts and comments
Create and bid on user created auctions listings
Claim achievements and periodic rewards
View weekly/monthly tipping leaderboards
Participate in governance polls (weighted voting)
Redeem points for cryptocurrency tokens
Link a membership / NFT wallet & external address
Explore a shared tile map and live chat as your Snoo avatar
Create subscriptions (pay wall posts)
My favorite part of all, this app been built with the scalability to support other subreddits as a points-only version. So communities can try this out without all the drama that comes with a price chart.
It is my goal to make this a flagship Devvit app so that any subreddit can use it in their own image, but I can't do it without your help.
When I go to check my balance it says I have 22 Moons in my wallet. The rest is sitting on ArbitrumOne and ArbitrumNova. Where are the 22 Moons sitting at? What chain is it? And why are they displayed separately in a wallet? Thanks!
Scamming attempts may happen, so we introduced a feedback and escrow system.
When a user wins an auction and redeems their prize, they can choose not release escrow to the seller until the dispute is settled.
For now, it’s an open beta to sell any non-NSFW items. But this may become an exclusive feature in the future where only reputable sellers or users with paid memberships can create auctions.
All good but what I want to know is i have about 1k plus moons but there is nothing showing in my vault. Long time ago it used to show moons received and total moons in the vault. What happned ?
Rick you are the man for creating such an amazing app, this will be very useful not only for CC or Cone but for whole Reddit.
My testing results ;
?-Icon -> Rewards -> Claim All rewards : After claiming all rewards you can not see what rewards you have claimed/currently have or I'm too stupid to find it
Wallet-Icon -> Redeem - Link Reddit Vault / External Wallet : It would be nice to see the wallet address you've linked on that screen too, to verify linking was successful
2. Wallet-Icon -> Redeem - Redeem for Moons work great, redeeming Cone seems buggy. I can't withdraw bigger amounts of Cone even tough my Points Balances show its available. This is the error i receive; "2 UNKNOWN: Post "https://communitycurrency.pythonanywhere.com/redeem": httpbp.ClientError: http status 500 INTERNAL SERVER ERROR: {"error":"Transaction failed. Please try again later."}" ----------------------------------------------- Also which tokens are supported right now?
When Creating Auctions, you can make a bid duration of 0 days which will end instantly; You can also set the starting bid to negative integeres
I don't quite understand the game, i see a reddit avatar I can move around the map and explore in bushes to find something? Also there is a chat function but I can not see other reddit avatars (yet?).
Under active polls, I see Page 1 of 3 but I can not get move to page 2 or 3
When will active polls close? Can you close your own polls or do you wait for it to "finish"?
Thankyou for the kind words, this app has been a long time coming!
You can click the wallet icon and the transactions tab to view transaction history like claimed rewards.
Good idea! We can do this.
Looks like a blockchain error, we'll get this corrected!
Good catch, these are the kind of breaking test cases we're looking for!
The game is not so much a game, just a multiplayer chat room right now. Once we've sunrise community points, we're going to sunrise collectible avatars next via the game!
I was able to replicate this bug too, thankyou for reporting.
Looks like the duration form for active polls got deleted by mistake.
You're officially hired as a user acceptance tester, thankyou for your feedback!

The community currency app displays your points balance. Think of points as off-chain rewards that are redeemable for on-chain tokens.
ah! Make sense thanks
what are the requirements to auction something? like could i auction a cs skin?
Good question! No NSFW items are allowed.
CSGO skins are okay, good idea
That's awesome!
You’re awesome
Can you auction literally anything you want, or are there some more specific rules?
Is there a way to also make it safe and not possible for any scamming to happen as this thing could be super interesting

Having to have a membership and reputation to create auctions would probably be quite good tbh
Slow n steady wins the race, keep up the good work
Thankyou!

Unfortunately Reddit is deprecating the vault as a feature within the mobile app.
We’ll work to develop the vault functionality inside the our new devvit app.
Thanks for the reply. So where in the cyberspace are our moons at this time?
Moons are stored in an off-chain database on the moon.
Distribution hasn't happened yet this round i believe?
Click the rewards button in-app and you should be able to claim it there.
Oh thanks, I was wondering why it wasn't there

Glad I could help, I'm still amazed about so many great features
Can anyone add to auctions atm?
Yes
If we no longer use !register as command to register wallet...how do I? Everything seems to work, but still say...not registered. Thanks
Click the wallet icon within the app, then select the redeem tab, from there you can provide your wallet address to link it
Gotcha...I was going to do that after my next CONE reward, and was pretty sure that would do trick but figured Id ask...Thank You.
This is pretty splendid stuff well done.
