• "Lastly, wallets should not even display these spam transactions anywhere. If the value of the [transaction] is small, just filter it out," Zhao added.

I've been saying this for years and I'm endlessly disappointed that wallets can't do this. It should be simple for developers.

  • You should not be reusing addresses

I tried this for many years

Its an accounting nightmare, I hate it

And its mostly because too few other people use crypto this way, so annoying

Rotki was the only offline accounting tool, I gave up, just take my data corpos, tie all my addresses together for tax purposes. Fucking hell

  • The fact that I can’t label spam wallets on Etherscan is a travesty.

Moreso when the same account is funding multiple wallets that are engaged in address poisoning.

Fucking hilarious - the guy did send a test. Thats literally how address poisoning works. Lmao just lmao

    [deleted]

That is how it works, you send a test transaction, they'll send you a similar transaction with a similar looking address then hope you send it. This scam works better when someone does test transaction

  • There should be a blockchain that only lets addresses send to your address that you input beforehand. Idk if that makes sense but it would solve the problem.

Kraken does this . You can’t send to any address not email verified by you after inputting it

  • Pardoned criminals know how to protect you…
