This is the first time I saw Narragansett do a seasonal brew so I figured I pick up a six pack of the limited supply Brewer's Outlet received.
It is supposed to be spiced and have some hints of cherries, ginger and orange. However I didn't quite pick up on the spice or fruit. I definitely did pick up a smooth, malty texture. It is rather mild and does drink well. I still have more cans to sip to see if I can pick up the fruitiness or spice. Price point is on par with most craft brews at the least, so it does run more than the base lager.
Definitely a great holiday ale for someone who isn't into the intense spice or flavor of some brews, but wants a taste of the holidays. So it's recommended...depending on one's preference for picking up the fruity flavors or spice in the brew.
I’m in RVA. Narragansett has become the new PBR
I didn’t care for this, but when I was there a couple weeks ago they had an amazing barrel aged porter that seemed great for the season. Don’t think they had cans though.
Some good brewery only beers pop up time to time there
enjoy... don't drink beer out of a dirty glass. 🍻
It's a 'gansett..
Pretty much all gansett brews are crafted on the assumption your gonna kill the six pack in one sitting. Also Im a buyer for a couple craft beer places and if it cost the same as smaller competitors the business you bought it from increased margin on it to get it closer to other skus to discourage people from buying out the cheaper options while the lower margin items shelf turd
They’ve been doing seasonal brews for at least 15 years.
This season I’m hooked on trying Seasonal crafts Beers ONLY I would love to try that.
Dirty glass
I really wish I could try the different gansett beers. I love high end craft beer but I also love brands like this and can only find regular Narragansett on occasion in California.
They have been around a long time for a US brewery and I really respect it.
What is with all the very dirty glasses lately
