That’s all, just wanna recommend it if anyone hasn’t played it yet. Also one thing I didn’t realize is that you can go into options and change the look to what suits you, I wish I would have known this beforehand.

  • Would recommend Lil Gator Game as a nice follow up, it's not the same but it hits a similar spot and is also really sweet and cozy!

    Oh thanks for this!!

Seconding Little Gator Game! I wish I could find more games like these two 😭

Mail time and Smushi come home may be close. They seem to be pretty similar and I had a lot of fun with those two!

Shoot. Those are on steam and I only have my Xbox 😭

    Toem

Added to my list thank you!

  • Yes, Yes AND YES, I love how it lets you continue even after you finish the story and get to the peak, SO MUCH TO DO and so many friends to spend time with, my niece has a rivalry with Avery and it's the cutest thing ever, I can't thank the devs enough for these beautiful memories

Oh man I was SO happy going back in and seeing how it just continues and you can still do stuff

Dude game's so good I got it on the Switch, the PS4 AND Steam, sending my love to the devs fr

I wonder if they’ve done anything else? If not I’d love to see one

It felt like an open world sandbox, like an Ubisoft game, but small enough I could learn the layout and just enough cool stuff to find without feeling like it was so tedious

I heard the actual game is pretty short. How long have you been playing it for? I’m thinking about getting it, but I usually don’t get super short games.

  • I loved a short hike! Played it the weekend before my life fell apart and I remember being so happy and cozy playing it! It’s been a couple years so maybe I have to play it again now 😋

Yes bring it back into your life!

  • I had this in my library for a couple of years and finally started it in the new year. AMAZING. Everything about it is perfect. I’m done the story but chasing the last few achievements, like finding the remaining sprouts to water (where are they?!). But it’s super chill and cozy. No combat, time constraints, grinding, etc. The dialogue is also really funny, I laughed out loud a few times.

    11/10 recommended!!

LOVE the dialogue! I gotta go through and do the achievements. Lightweight grinding cuz the rest is so magical!

  • The soundtrack is so soothing too. I've listened so many times while working on my own game!

    Oh man it’s so good

  • How long is the gameplay?

There's a good site for that. Looks like about two-and-a-half hours.

  • A really great game! Toem scratches that same, cozy itch where you take pictures of stuff to progress and unlock the world.

    Oh thanks I’ll check it!

I completed Toem but the art style made me uncomfortable, honestly! I don't know how to explain it but I was on edge haha.

  • Really enjoyed this one and always recommend it to others.

    The “ending”, so good

  • Care to give a quick elevator pitch for it? Ive always heard good things but no clue what makes it so great.

It literally feels like a short hike. You start at the base of the mountain and go up, meet other hikers who go at their own pace and get lost in your own toughts.

The pleasure of taking in the view, the feeling of nature all around and the adventure and exploring elements combined with a beautiful "slice of life" story makes for a wonderful experience!

    Sounds relaxing, thanks!

It had fantastic movement mechanics too, I enjoy swooping around gliding SO much, plus using the motor boat is really fun too. And it's fun to bumble around walking too, there's always someone new to talk to or something new to find. Just a game that feels good to play

It is! I personally loved it and there's more to it than it might seem at first, strongly recommend it

Graphics are great. Music is GREAT. The character dialogue is fantastic, made me laugh. Go at your own pace, collect stuff. It’s a short, very pleasant experience.

It’s a nice low stress hike. It’s kind of a little puzzle with low stakes. Not competitive. Engaging but not stressful. Relaxing music and environment. Sense of accomplishment at the end.

No combat, no bosses, some timed and skilled challenges but no real consequences for losing or "dying"; it's also beautifully rendered and I really loved that you can tailor the pixelation level to what feels best for your eyesight.

Very beginner-friendly that I've watched my itty nephews (under 8) have a ball with it, but engaging enough that I recommended it to my partner, who has strong technical skills and enjoys all of the stressful, "un-cozy" games that I avoid like the plague, lol. He really enjoyed it too, although it was definitely more of an afternoon's fun for him rather than something to sink weeks of time into.

Aside from what others have said, if the intense pixel graphics are a turn off you can smoothen it down to 3D graphics (Still pretty!) in the settings.

  • Yes. It goes on sale for the switch occasionally. I grabbed it for $10 a few years ago and got it on a whim. Great little game. Highly recommended.

  • Yeah its fire

  • How long have you spent playing the game? Like how much endgame is there to do? I’m thinking about getting the game, it looks really cute!

It’s really pretty short but after you “finish” you can go back in which was awesome to me

  • It's my go-to example of a game that knows what it wants to do, does it, then gets out of the way.

We need far more bite-sized experiences like it, instead of 400 hours of nothing.

  • Picked up Alba a Wildlife Adventure with ASH. Recommended as well!

  • I really enjoyed my time with the game. It was such a vibe. I always recommend it when someone hasn't played it.

It’s such a perfect, no stress game
