Hi everyone! Thought I would make a quick post for a new cozy game i stumbled upon called cozy caravan! Im surprised to see that it doesn't have as many downloads as I was expecting but has absolutely blown me away and is such a good cozy game! I usually struggle to get into reousce collection in a game but this one does such a good job of itnergrating side quests and a beautiful atmosphere that the game just sucks you right in. It is so incredibly cute and is made my a small team in Australia (which is crazy because I genuinely thought for this quality of a game is was made by a bigger team/company). Anyways I thought i would try highlight a super cozy game that someone might like as well as support a smaller team! Again, cannot recommend this enough if you enjoy cute, wholesome, non fast paced games that have a really good environmental design!

  • There was just a post about this game. It sounded like people were upset because some of the content is apple arcade exclusive, so if you are playing (and paying) on other platforms, you don't get all the maps.

It's cool that they responded, but they are saying the content wouldn't have existed without early access AND apple arcade players. Steam had people paying for early access and playing, but they don't get that content that they helped bring about? Or am I reading it wrong? Either way it's a bad look in a world full of other games to play.

Apple wouldn't have had any motivation to support them without exclusive rights (meaning only available on Apple for a set time and not on other platforms), so the deal they made is only possible this way. EA/other platforms will have access to it eventually, just not right away

Maybe people aren’t aware but a lot of games (beyond the cozy genre) get exclusives on one platform or various timed releases where one console or platform gets the content first. This even happens with big well known franchises and games. It seems completely reasonable that Apple helped make some of this content possible so they get it first. Their explanation makes sense to me and people being upset over this seems pretty unfair. It looks like such a cute game.

  • Anyone have an idea of how many hours of gameplay there is? I’ve definitely got the switch release on my radar—love the color palette and the whole aesthetic is 100% eye candy.

It's a lot. I've been playing it since early access release and have about 30 hours in the game and I haven't unlocked all the caravan upgrades or recipes or completed all the achievements. I would say main story is probably 20 hours. If you want to complete everything, 50 hours+.

It's very cute and fun game, I would highly recommend it.

Is it worth the price? I'm disabled and unemployed, so Monday is very tight and the game is more in the expensive side for me

But it looks so cute, I keep going back to look at it

It's currently on sale for $16 which I think is a great deal for all the game you get.

It's still almost half of the money I have 😅

But knowing it's worth it is good!! I'll check it videos of it and see if it really is one that I could go for

Yeah, well "is it worth it?" is a much different question than "is it worth half my current life savings?". 😭😭

I mean, it's not going anywhere so there's no rush. Sarah Sunstone has a lot of videos on it. I'd recommend checking hers out and then if you like it, you can always wishlist it and get notified when there's a good sale. It may also be available later for cheap on GOG or other similar sites.

Oh, definitely! Knowing that it's a good game worth the price means I can start looking into it it will be worth it for me, you know?

Thank you for the recommendation, I had never heard of her! I'll check out her videos and keep an eye out ❤️

  • It also released on Apple Arcade so people might be playing it over there.

  • I saw an ad on Reddit for this game, it looked right up my alley except the ad made it sound like multiplayer with others. I prefer to play solo. How is it on that aspect?

    Its a completely solo game.

  • I currently have it wishlisted, just haven't decided if I was going to buy it next yet.

  • I've had Cozy Caravan since EA and loved it every step of the way! It's such a solid outing for this team (and I'm always looking to support Aussie developers where possible because it's a tough gig over here). It's one I keep coming back to when my ADHD is on overdrive and I can't settle into anything or decide what to play... the gameplay loop is very calming and unlike a lot of other games it's not too overwhelming to drop it for a while and then try to dive back in.
