Any recommendations for a mellow city (village) builder type game? It's ok if there's economy management and goals, but want something low stress. I mostly I just want to be able to build a cute village with a cute plaza. Thanks in advance!

THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR THE RECEOMMENDATIONS :-)

  • Go-Go Town, Gourdlets

  • They're both just building with no townspeople or anything, but Tiny Glade and Townscaper are great for just using your imagination. Town to City is more of a management game as well that will definitely give you a cute plaza

Townscaper is so cool for what it is…the color palette is so lovely and I do think the birds make it a little more dynamic and alive. I just love clicking around and letting myself be amazed by the possibilities. It’s very satisfying and zero learning curve, which is nice.

  • Town to City. Beautiful and mellow with some mechanics. It's early access but gets big updates and feels very full. It looks like a painting. It's based on a Mediterranean landscape and plazas are a big thing in it.

I think it's got creative mode too? But I'm not sure on that as I've been enjoying the main game so much.

  • Animal Crossing is this...exactly!

  • Check out Littlewood

  • Have you tried Farm Together, the original or number 2? It's very chill, friendly player base, and the second one has cross save as well as cross play.. so it doesn't matter what your friends play on, you can join them, and if you have a PlayStation and a switch, you can play on one and the cloud save will let you continue on the other.

The more you play, the more decorations and things you can unlock, and can build up pretty much whatever cosy little setup you fancy.

    Seconding this!

  • Gourdlets is completely no stress, just building for cute little creatures with basically no goals

  • Snacko! Bonus: you get to be a cute cat!

  • Dinkum is incredibly fun, and there's also a creative mode. Some combat but you can turn off any animal aggro when you get the well (pretty early on)
