Nice list, thanks! You can get potion permit in the "house full of potions" bundle along with House Flipper for $2.12. Be sure to do that rather than 7.99 by itself

No all heroes wear capes. THANK YOU!

No problem, to be fair you probably would have realized it anyway because steam pops up a message saying that there is a cheaper version available. I actual found out about the bundle because it is cheaper than House Flipper alone and I got the message for that. I mostly just wanted to mention the deal for anyone looking at either game lol.

Dang, I came back here to take a screenshot. If you would be willing to DM the list, that would be awesome!

Would also love a DM of the list too if you happen to have it!

ahh dang it same. I bookmarked it last night to check out on my pc today, I wish I took a screenshot.

I would be super grateful if you could share the list w me as well, thanks! :D

If by any chance you got that list, would love it if you could share it with me, too. Thank you!

I guess it's a cozy games sub so technically sharing non-cozy games would probably be against the rules? There are plenty of other reddit subs you can share them on. I guess the mods are trying to keep this for cozy games only and that's actually fair enough.

  • i’m getting rune factory 4 for 8.99!!!!

I bought it on switch a few weeks ago and it's sooooo addicting. I love it. The perfect balance between my love for farming sims and my love for rpgs. Sometimes I tend to my farm snd pet my animals and sometimes I go on a murderous rampage to get princess points and loot. It's so good.

It’s probably my favorite game of all time! Enjoy it!

  • "Cozy Puzzles Bundle", a bundle with all of these:

    • Dorfromantik

    • Tiny Garden

Buying the bundle give you an extra 15% on top of the all the winter sale discount already applied!

    https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/64529/

(note: I'm one of the dev of Squeakross, and the one who setup this bundle 🐭)

Just wanted to let you know I loved Squeakross! The combination of puzzles and decoration and the cute rat is just perfect.

Tysm! ❤️ we have 200+ puzzles coming really soon!

Oohh exciting. I've finished all the normal puzzles but still have a few of the puzzles that unlock colour variants that I haven't done, but I'll finish them soon. So having new puzzles to look forward too is great!

I have almost all of those games including yours. Love Squeakross!

    ahh thank you!!

Just wanted to say I am so hooked on Squeakross right now! Currently have 60 hours in it, and it’s just a top tier chill game.

I love Squeakross! The world needs more rat based games <3

  • Plan: buy one non-cozy game if it reaches my desired price point.

Reality: get sick which means I most likely won't be travelling to visit my parents for Christmas so I need extra entertainment at home -> grab Tales of Seikyu because my MMO buddy won't stop raving about it and grab that non-cozy game too since it was waay cheaper than my desired price point. Still have money left so might get something else too if anything catches my eye...

Now to get a cup of hot chocolate with a hint of peppermint and play some Tales of Seikyu before bed.

  • I really want to get Discounty but I'm thinking about it.

my totally unbiased opinion: do it.

I loved discounty!!!! And they recently released a cozy mode

It’s fun. I bought it soon after release (which I RARELY do) because there was such high praise for it. It is a good game with a fun mystery.

Discounty is very fun and satisfying!

Get it, it's fun, and they updated recently!

  • Fantasy Life is on sale for the first time, for $45 USD.

I’m excited for it! Waiting for that same sale on switch

I finally got it. I can't wait to play on the weekend finally

They are releasing free DLC soon too

  • Summer in Mara is $ 1.99. It's older but it's a real sweet game.

  • Oh gosh I have tons but I'm not sure if I'll end up buying them! Most realistic is to pick maybe 2-3 games...

    • Eastshade
    • When The Past Was Around
    • Letters to Arralla
    • Tiny Bookshop
    • Whisper of the House
    • Undusted: Letters of the Past
    • Coral Island
    • Subnautica

Kinda sad Ooblets is not on sale! Wanna try it for a while now.

I've had Eastshade on my wishlist since forever, going to grab it now if it's discounted. Thanks for the reminder!

omg im not alone! sale i was hoping for an ooblets, now i need someone to sell me in either coral island or story of season grand bazaar lolll

I haven't been able to put down grand bazaar for the past 2 weeks. I'm at ~40 hours and feel like I've barely touched the surface. (autumn year 1 right now. ) 40hrs in 2 weeks may not seem like a lot for some people, but I've been playing dreamlight valley for 3 years and just now reached 300 hours on it, and that's my most played game. grand bazaar has me carrying my switch around with me to play it any chance I get, the same way I carried around my ds when I was a kid lol.

i dont doubt it with how much ive heard this sentiment about it lolll

its a debate between it and rune factory guardians of azuma for me rn

but you gotta understand, aside from little dips and a playin a bit of stardew valley, im fairly "new" to the cozy farming sim genre which is why im reeeeally thinkin about! I'd be gettin it for mostly my future steam deck tho :), hopefully if i dont get it now itll be on sale again on spring sales cuz thats around my bday! :D

Coral island yes!!! I'm on 70h and I've just started winter. There's so much to do and you can adopt 3 pets!! You can choose from cats, dogs, a bunny, a lizard and two fox type animals. You can help clean the ocean of trash and ugh I love it!!

tiny bookshop is so cute! especially if you're an avid reader, you're going to have quite a giggle at some of the titles!

Oh I've been dying to play Whisper of the House. You reminded me because it wasn't in my wishlist.

Whisper of the house is so fun and so sweet!

Coral island is AMAZING and only getting better! I’ve been playing since the beginning and have over 700+ hours 😍

  • Spiritfarer is 90% off :0

I really wish I could play that again for the first time

  • Ok well I love the art style so much. Really brings me back to the 90s point and click adventures but with modern resolutions.

I'm on a game buying ban until after Christmas but I'm adding it to my wishlist so I don't forget afterwards when I have steam gift cards to spend!

Adding to my wishlist! Seems like a great game!

  • I grabbed kynseed, the tenants, and moonstone Island. 👍

Moonstone Island is a real treat!

Just started it tonight, have 2 hours into it now and loving it. The card mechanics are fun.

Have you played The Tenants yet? If so, is it a fun time?

I played about an hour. I wasn't in the right mood at the time though. If you like the decorating aspect of the sims and such you may like it. Plus there's some management for the renters and all that.

I played The Tenants before. It's really fun at first, but definitely gets grindy after a while. I think I put in around 30 hours. There's also certain ways to game the decor to get better rents/scores/whatever which somewhat ruins the creativity aspect. It would be good to buy on sale, not at full price, IMO.

  • Would you recommend spending more and purchasing the deluxe edition of Hello Kitty Adventure and the DLC (Wheatflour Wonderland) or just playing the base game?

Would you buy them right away along with the base game or wait for a bigger discount/to be further along in the story?

Personally I’d just get the bae game but I’m one of the people who found hello kitty a little too basic to play a lot. I know a lot of people loved it so it just depends what you like in a game

Base guy. You’ll get everything from the deluxe eventually- there’s no need for it - wait to get dlc since it’ll be locked behind multiple leveling of characters

    Base game is enough.

  • Hate I’m not just regular broke where I can be irresponsible, but critical life is happening to me right now broke. It’s a few games I had my eyes on that I’m hoping my situation improves before the sales end 😭

What games were you looking at?

Satisfactory and Dream light Valley mostly because I was waiting for them to go on sale again

  • I’m looking to get into Two Point Museum, seen a lot about it and it looks great - but, and this might be a silly question, do you need to have familiarity with the other Two Point games? They are also on sale for a lot more. Curious if I just dive into all of them?

You don't need any previous experience in the two point world to get into museum. The tutorial does a fantastic job getting you into the different areas. I preferred Hospital over Campus for what it's worth. Pick the one you vine with. Enjoy! I loved them all.

You honestly don't need it, they're not connected in any shape or form. I think Two Point Museum is a little bit more complicated than the previous two, and it feels vastly larger with so much more to do.

But, not only is the tutorial well made, they also do a good job at slowly introducing features to you. I'm 12 hours in and I know I have features I haven't unlocked yet.

Two Point franchise is more relaxing than other management/city builder games, so even if you haven't played ANY similar games in the past, you have room to learn and make mistakes.

I only play Two Point Museum and I had no trouble getting into it! It's super fun and I ended up buying the DLCs (I became addicted after a little while lol)

  • I am incredibly broke this sale (😭)

But I did pick up Portal Knights for 2.99! It's similar to DQ Builders which I adored, been feeling that itch again so hoping its a blast!

You and me both! My Time At Sandrock is 55% off and I’m like 🥺😩

Thats a good one! I liked Portia, but Sandrock is just chefs kiss in comparison!

I loved Portia, which is why I think I’d love Sandrock as well! That’s exciting to know that it’s even better. 💕 There will be other sales!

You will love it Skinny Arms!

Portal Knights is a ton of fun! And one of my fav couch co-ops!

oooh I've been looking for something similar to DQ builders, thanks for this rec!

Heck yeah! I'm trying to finish ornaments before I jump in. But I had it on my switch, and enjoyed what little I played there. Sadly it's the OG switch and struggles a bit with big games.

Im hoping Minecraft PS4/5 goes on sale too 😭

  • Scrounged and saved and managed to get a couple of games...

    Being broke is suffering!

  • I don't know that I will buy anything (ok I lied, I probably/most definitely will lol) but town to city, a game I already have, has a small discount. But it is so beautiful and fun and really well made and there is a lot to do even though it is early access. I would reccommend it.

What should I get from my wishlist? (love: moonstone island, coral island, roots of pacha, MTAS, chillquarium, megaquarium, fields of mistria, etc)

    kynseed
    yonder
    let's build a zoo
    fabledom

    the wandering village

    luma island

    cattle country

    cast n chill

    punyan

    sheepherds

    farm together 2

I also liked roots of pacha and fields of mistria (haven’t played the other ones you mentioned), and I’m loving Luma Island!

Kynseed is amazing. It gets a little stale after a few GENERATIONS but I love that I can do a little bit of everytjing. Farm, blacksmith, own the shops, craft...

I'd recommended that, and Let's Build a Zoo. That one is a little stressful but once you get it down, combining the animals is hilarious.

I love Luma Island!! I love many of the games you have in your loved list too, and Luma is one of my favorites. Maybe also try Fae Farm!

Oo I’ve had chill aquarium on my list for sooo long but I havent gotten it yet

Cattails (the first one) – A cute sim where you are a cat in a colony $ 4.49 (70% off) I did not play the 2nd one Cattails: Wildwood Story but I hear it’s just as good. $5.99 (70% off)

Yonder - Great graphics and extremely open world. You do whatever you want whenever you want. There is an end goal but you can go about it any way you want. About 6 months after playing, I am replaying the game and it’s even better the 2nd time around. I remember just enough so that I am familiar with the map but not so much that it’s too easy. $ 4.99 (80% off)

Alba A Wildlife Adventure – Take pictures of birds and animals in order to save a wildlife preserve. Very sweet. $ 3.39 (80% off)

Tiny Robots Recharged – individual stand alone levels with fun (kind of easy!) puzzles to solve in order to progress. $.99 (80% off)

  • So many great things are on sale but I’m saving up to travel. I’m giving myself a little fun money. Currently on my cart:

Planet Zoo Spirit of the North Snowman Story

I was looking at Golf Peaks and some other puzzle games. Glob, my wishlist is almost all on same but I’m gonna hace self control 😅

i read this as one title, and I'M HERE FOR IT - Planet Zoo Spirit of the North Snowman Story - collecting spirits in the north for a zoo run by snowmen? YESSSS

  • Hi. I had a lot of questions last night but I can’t think of them right now. Oh well. Here’s what I do remember:

    1. If I wanted to play a Hello Neighbor game for the first time, which one would you recommend?

    2. Same question as above. I also want to try out a Two Point game but I don’t know which one to start with.

    3. I am currently downloading Pharaoh + Cleopatra (I bought it on GOG last year). Are there any other city builders you would recommend? It doesn’t have to be based in ancient Egypt, it can be based anywhere and in any time period.

    3) I think Zeus & Poseidon is better than Pharaoh but would also recommend grabbing that from GoG, the Steam version is a little wonky. The Tropico series is pretty great, and if you’re okay with interpreting city builder a little loosely, Against The Storm is brilliant.

regarding point 2: I would get Two point museum. I like hospital also a lot, but museum is such a great thought out game and will keep you occupied for a long time. It's also not as stressful if you like truly cozy games.

it was a tie between Campus and Hospital for me both of them are at a really good price right now. i think I’ll go for Hospital then, thank you!

I recommend Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom. I’ve played Pharaoh & Cleopatra and it has similar vibes.

  • I got the Cosy Apocalypse bundle: My time at Sandrock plus Doloc Town. I'm in Europe so don't know the dollar price but I saved 65%. Very pleased as have been interested in both games for a while now.

Edit: name of bundle: My time at Doloc Town bundle is My time at Portia plus Doloc Town.

  • I'm thinking of buying the "my time in Doloc bundle", cast n chill and feed all monsters. 🤔

  • currently, as far as cozy games are concerned, i have the following:

    - little witch in the woods
    - april grove
    - witchy business

and i at least have four (4) visual novels and other non cozy games.

  • Okay currently torn between Coral Island, Wylde Flowers, and My Time at Sandrock. Will probably end up buying 2, open to being convinced I should get all 3? Lately my obsession has been Fields of Mistria, and I have about 800 hours played in Stardew Valley 🙈

Tbh get one game and by the time you finish that game, it'll be time for Steam Summer sale again 😅 I personally liked My Time at Sand Rock and that reminded me more of SDV (mechanics slowly being unlocked, helping build up the community, seasonal events)

    Definitely Wylde Flowers!

  • costume quest is on sale for super cheap 🗣️📢 highly recommend for anyone who hasn't tried it! It's not the season but still lol

also wytchwood, roki, alba: a wildlife adventure, cats in cozy rooms, beasts of maravilla island, yono and the celestial elephants and gourdlets are some cheap games I really enjoyed, for anyone looking for some affordable cozy games :)

  • I got spirittea and I’m gonna need everyone else to get it too it is so good. I’m eyeing discounty mainly now

  • I got The Little Witch in the Woods and I already spent 16 hours on it!

  • Hi 😊 I’m browsing the Steam Winter Sale and trying to decide which of these games are actually cozy or worth picking up. If you’ve played any of them, I’d love to know what you thought and whether they felt cozy to you.

Wytchwood Birth Spiritfarer A Short Hike Hokko Life Button City Frog Detective 1–3 A Tale of Paper: Refolded Before Your Eyes Don’t Give Up: A Cynical Tale Lenin – The Lion LOCKDOWN Protocol A New Leaf: Memories Beacon Pines Carto Glitchhikers Hoa

    Thanks

+1 for Spiritfarer. Amazing story with gorgeous visuals and engaging gameplay loop. It takes a few sessions to finish, but it's worth every penny I spent on it.

If you are looping for something shorter, maybe try A Short Hike?

I personally didn't like Wytchwood. Personally, I felt like it was less of a game and more like a fetch quest simulator

Thank you for that. It really helps

another vote for Spiritfarer - have it on my Switch and had to put that down for a few months with other life priorities, about to start it again for the New Year. I will suggest having a notepad or small notebook to help you keep track of quests in that.

    Thank you for that

I enjoyed wytchwood! If you don't like fetchquest-y games you won't like it but I found it fun. A short hike is also very fun. Beacon pines is good but idk if I'd call it "cozy." It has some pretty dark endings lol.

    And I looooved spiritfarer!!

  • Winter sale is trash compared to Summer sale. Finally got Enshrouded for $20 off of Gameflip though
