Today at 15:40 GMT, Ireland's president and the president of James have officially done a handshake as part of their new treaty. The treaty states that

A. Ireland must recognize james and vice-versa,

B. That James shall exchange their extremelt valuable rare earth metals to Ireland in exchange for financial support and a likelihood of the treaty lasting longer, and

C. That neither country can go back on the treaty's terms for any reason until at least one (1) year has passed.

It's likely the treaty has been passed in Ireland due to the amount of Irish heritage in providences like Wallonia to the north, and even how there is already an Irish settlement near Jakob Island that's been there since the mid 19th century.

The Jamesian president said this in response:

“I hope we can make a good thing out of this deal. Ireland, being primarily at a key location in Europe, and having trades with even larger countries like the UK, could easily expand our horizons and get us recognized even more. And, since we've already been on good terms with the Irish, even if this treaty might seem unfair to some, I think it's got something good for us, even if that reward is more in the long term. Overall, it's a bright path for james' future, and we're walking along it right now!”
