If it's a traditional lye based soap it can become caustic after awhile, if it's not then it generally hardens and lasts a good long time. Personally I'll get a few soap bars and cut them up then I put them in different areas to dry as it makes them last longer that way. Bonus is they generally make the area smell better too.
I tried that brand once because I like woodland-type scents. The grit in the soap scratched the shit outta me and the formula completely dried my skin out. Never again 👎
To be fair that shit is great for callused feet. It’s sort of like doing those stone things while showering and it has the perk of not leaving dead skin cells everywhere. I got some of the Star Wars tie in from this brand for Christmas last year and that’s all I use it for. Although if I’m using a scrub anywhere else on my body it’s a much softer one
Oh that does sound like a good use for it! I used to have a pumice stone for my feet but I have no idea where it went. I wouldn't buy an entire bar of gritty soap for just my feet but I'm sure it would be useful for that spot.
They aren't all that way. I have a friend who uses this brand and he gave me a couple to use up after discovering he didn't like a couple new scents that came out. One of them has no grit/exfoliation in it, the other is their Level 2 exfoliation out of I think 3? And I think they base it assuming you're a guy (which I'm not) and so balance the amount of grit with male skin in mind.
I happen to have really strong hair, nails, and skin, and I love a good exfoliating treatment. It's to the point chemical exfoliation does nothing for me, and physical exfoliation has to be somewhat abrasive. I liked the gritty soap, it did a good job and made me feel fresh. But, to me, they're still about $3ish overpriced for what they are.
I'll use them up, but I won't be rebuying it.
My friend claims that it's the only soap that doesn't agitate his allergies, and to be fair, he has more allergies than anyone I've ever met. He's one of the people who needs to use special deodorant because the aluminum kind make his pits reek due to an allergic reaction. Even Native makes his skin swell. I just can't justify $8 at my supermarket for 5 oz of bar soap, personally. I think it's a YMMV situation, though OOP's stash is an absolutely jaw dropping amount.
If the formula wasn't so drying for me, I'd try to find one with the least amount of grit. I don't have any allergies but my skin gets so dry with this stuff (and a lot of other brands) that it gets itchy and flakes off.
Dove is the best kind for my skin, but they don't have any woodland scents 😭 Can't a girl just smell like a forest or fresh-cut lumber???
If the formula and grit-level worked for me, I'd buy a couple. But not a huge stash like OP 😆
Funny, with the Native deodorant - I tried it over the summer and it worked so much better than my previous deodorant. I saw a "buy 2, get 1 free" sale, picked up 3 different scents, been loving them, then ALL OF A SUDDEN they stopped working entirely and I started smelling RANK. WTF? Lol.
I tried it both ways. No washcloth is going to prevent the actual drying ingredients in the soap from drying out my skin. The formula is straight-up not good for dry skin, period.
Every time I see posts like this I feel like it's just fake advertising. Why would anyone ever buy soaps like this, and why from such a boring Walmart carried brand?
Idk might be mental illness or something. I collect colognes but those actually have shelf life and worth the buck, not expensive ones mostly dupes. It’s consoom but this stuff is just straight irrational
I can't speak to anything besides the deodorant. I like the deodorant because it doesn't contain a lot of nasty shit other deodorants do, the scents aren't offensive, its widely available and I find it decently effective, when applied correctly.
That being said if somebody made a comparable alternative, with less flashy marketing and packaging and a lower price point, I'd switch to that.
Tl;dr I think the deodorant is a slightly over priced quality product.
Disclaimer, this dragon's hoard though is clearly guerilla marketing or an npc/mentally ill person trying to acquire a "MANLY (tm) aura".
Have you tried the Thai salt deodorant sticks? They are literally just blocks of salt that you rub on your underarms with a bit of water and let dry. They don’t stop you sweating, but it neutralizes any odor. I was skeptical but it’s all I swear by now. You can also get it in a spray, but I didn’t care for that as much
It's honestly good, I got a three pack of deodorant from costco on sale. Beats most I've tried and smells natural compared to others. I wouldn't go out of my way for it though, especially not this.
The fuck? They’re literally agreeing with the premise of this post. It’s a soap company. Of course they smell good. Acknowledging that doesn’t make this person a sucker.
ALL ONE! all one! hahah i used to run a vegan pop up and that was the name of it; inspired by the insane (respectfully) ramble on the back of the dr bronners bottle lol. i love that stuff. maybe i should start a collection 🤔
Yeah I buy bougie soap from a local company in batches of 3-4 at a time, so I’ve always got some stock on hand. But that’s just inventory, it’s not a collection and I could not tell you what’s on hand, just that I’m in a position to grab a fresh bar as needed.
not to play reddit psychologist or nothin but its got to be a mental illness lmao. like, i get feeling a sense of wanting to belong to something or having a community but it gets bungled somewhere in the brain and they latch onto…something tangible like soap or Stanley cups and then get validation on their weird obsessions subreddit?
When I was grieving a major loss about 6 years ago I got really weird about overbuying some things. Including ground beef. I bought 19lbs of ground chuck on a whim. It did all get used but we certainly didn’t need all that. Looking back I can laugh now at the “grief beef” incident but in the moment I really felt like it was important to stock up on the most random things.
I got a really really good deal on oatmeal soap so I had like 8 bars in the bathroom, and I felt like I looked insane. I can't imagine an entire shelf filled with a single readily available brand.
I feel like it's the same as every other super specific niche hyper fixation people start. A replacement for a personality.
I guarantee you people like this are miserable to talk to and have nothing to add to any conversation, so they just buy a bunch of shit and "collect" and interact with other weirdos online.
These pics must be uploaded by their employees right? An average Joe wouldn’t collect something so stupid, plus an employee could just grab some from from work and stage a photo to get the word out.
I mean, it could be real. You should see the people who collect bath and body works. It’s 1000x worse than this.
Which is crazy because I let a couple of their products I was gifted sit for maybe 6 months once and they’re separated and unusable. People forget soap is a consumable product. It expires.
Of all things, it had to be for the cringiest soap company of all time. I’m glad they stopped the aggressive ad campaign they had with that horrible dishwater blond guy at least, but anyone who buys this soap is a red flag as far as I’m concerned.
see ill consider myself lucky ive never really seen the ads or even heard much of this brand. i think i know them from being the bath water people if that is the same company
Look, I’ve been known to impulsively buy a fun bottle of hand soap I don’t strictly need. But I have like 2 extra bottles at any given time, not this hoard. And it absolutely gets used up.
Have you ever met the bath and body works, folks? I felt bad for having a few extra lotions where these folks have 400 candles and more lotions than they could ever use.
Weird thing to collect. Wouldn't it be easier to use the soap and save the little card? Also a Rey Mysterio soap?! 13 year old me would've loved that lol
I buy exactly one type of soap tbf I do buy 3 or 4 bottles at a time but its out of the way to get for me so its worth the extra storage. I couldn't fathom wanting to use different soap all the time I dont even like opening a new bottle
I accidentally have a stockpile of bar soap because I didn't realize I had a pack of 8 bars, then bought two packs of 8 bars because of a sale. But... It's just soap. I'm not buying single bars to get every scent
Weird yes but Also I do hoard body care items when they are on sale bec I grew up low income and they’re important to have and more expensive than they used to be. I feel like at least it’s useful. Name brand soap 🙃 yall
ive tried a couple bars from this brand and i could not imagine having an opinion on it higher than "its alright and easy to find". I still prefer buying cold process soap from independent makers cuz at the end of the day its the same stuff but without the ludicrous marketing budget. I'd rather my soap money go to someones grocery budget than a big company, but if dr. squatch is all you can get its still fine. collecting the stuff is straight stupid though. no brand collaboration is worth the lost space and money.
Soap on its own would be fine but the fact it's overpriced crap is what gets me.
Just pure cringe
i imagine they have a limited shelf life. there is no need for this much quantity regardless of brand or price
If it's a traditional lye based soap it can become caustic after awhile, if it's not then it generally hardens and lasts a good long time. Personally I'll get a few soap bars and cut them up then I put them in different areas to dry as it makes them last longer that way. Bonus is they generally make the area smell better too.
Well that’s ridiculous in a whole different way lmao
I don't see how it'd be weirder than placing something else there to make it smell better?
I tried that brand once because I like woodland-type scents. The grit in the soap scratched the shit outta me and the formula completely dried my skin out. Never again 👎
My bf likes the high grit or whatever it’s called of that brand 💀
Oh man, that stuff is like coarse-grit sandpaper. 😣
Is your bf a lizard? 😆
I mean… he and I DO own 3 frogs and a toad between us 🤔
To be fair that shit is great for callused feet. It’s sort of like doing those stone things while showering and it has the perk of not leaving dead skin cells everywhere. Lava?

Did you…. did you just use the bar on your bare skin? Have you never heard of a washcloth? Or a loofah?
You should… you should just be able to use a bar of soap directly without scratching your skin.
Adding an additional abrasive isn't going to fix the problem that the soap is too abrasive
I tried it both ways. No washcloth is going to prevent the actual drying ingredients in the soap from drying out my skin. The formula is straight-up not good for dry skin, period.
Um, isn't the point of adding that shit to the soap to use it directly on the skin as an abrasive? Like all the face washes with beads.
If it wa like one scent I could see falling in love woth it and not wanting it to be discontinued.
This is just weird. Was lifted some once and the scent Fades so quick.
Idk why people worship this brand. It just proves how susceptible you are to marketing
Every time I see posts like this I feel like it's just fake advertising. Why would anyone ever buy soaps like this, and why from such a boring Walmart carried brand?

How about you just shower daily and wear deodorant, then you wont need to mask your stink.
Buddy cologne doesn’t mask stinks
If you stink you’re gonna stink
Cologne used along with proper hygiene takes you to the next level
It’s okay to care about your appearance/presence
Especially when dating
Yeah it does stinky boy! Pee-you!!! 🤢🤮😅🤣
Hilarious
Hehe thanks 😊
Who pissed in your wheaties ?

Rly good scents, better than most others, overpriced tho
It's honestly good, I got a three pack of deodorant from costco on sale. Beats most I've tried and smells natural compared to others. I wouldn't go out of my way for it though, especially not this.
The soap is great, collecting it is weird.
Sounds like you fell for the marketing lol
Nah the smells are fantastic. It’s soap though, definitely not worth collecting. Worth using though, yeah.
"There's a sucker born every minute" as they say.
The fuck? They’re literally agreeing with the premise of this post. It’s a soap company. Of course they smell good. Acknowledging that doesn’t make this person a sucker.
Look at this sucker buy soap! Wake up sheeple! I bet the soap salesman saw him coming a mile away!
Nope it's good product that's overpriced.
The most upsetting thing to me is the fact that I've seen multiple posts on this sub from that sub, and none of them have been repeat posts.
Like it's soap
He could singlehandedly make Smash Brothers tournaments bearable to attend and instead hoards his wealth.

I have to bottles of Dr Bronners mint soap because it was cheaper to buy two. But this....
What a boring thing to collect. "Do you want to see my soap and deodorant collection?"
I mean, no. Not really.
DILUTE! DILUTE!
okay 🫡
ALL ONE! all one! hahah i used to run a vegan pop up and that was the name of it; inspired by the insane (respectfully) ramble on the back of the dr bronners bottle lol. i love that stuff. maybe i should start a collection 🤔
Yeah, I usually buy a few bars of soap at a time just because its easier. I never think of it as a collectors item. Its soap. I use it.
Yeah I buy bougie soap from a local company in batches of 3-4 at a time, so I’ve always got some stock on hand. But that’s just inventory, it’s not a collection and I could not tell you what’s on hand, just that I’m in a position to grab a fresh bar as needed.
I just have no idea what motivates people to do this.
I use one specific scent of Arm & Hammer deodorant because I like how it smells. Why would I buy 17 other smells that I'm never going to use?
not to play reddit psychologist or nothin but its got to be a mental illness lmao. like, i get feeling a sense of wanting to belong to something or having a community but it gets bungled somewhere in the brain and they latch onto…something tangible like soap or Stanley cups and then get validation on their weird obsessions subreddit?

Not every scent works well with people's skin either. I buy one scent of one deodorant. The rest smell fine but they don't smell good on me.
Are all of these people actually just mentally handicapped? I can see no other valid reason to be proud of collecting soap.
I feel like it's the same as every other super specific niche hyper fixation people start. A replacement for a personality.
I guarantee you people like this are miserable to talk to and have nothing to add to any conversation, so they just buy a bunch of shit and "collect" and interact with other weirdos online.
An embarrassment it is, surely.
These pics must be uploaded by their employees right? An average Joe wouldn’t collect something so stupid, plus an employee could just grab some from from work and stage a photo to get the word out.
I agree. This seems like advertising to me.
I mean, it could be real. You should see the people who collect bath and body works. It’s 1000x worse than this.
Which is crazy because I let a couple of their products I was gifted sit for maybe 6 months once and they’re separated and unusable. People forget soap is a consumable product. It expires.
100% this person has bad breath and smells like hot dog water 10 minutes after a shower
Especially when the scent starts to fade after a few months
Of all things, it had to be for the cringiest soap company of all time. I’m glad they stopped the aggressive ad campaign they had with that horrible dishwater blond guy at least, but anyone who buys this soap is a red flag as far as I’m concerned.
see ill consider myself lucky ive never really seen the ads or even heard much of this brand. i think i know them from being the bath water people if that is the same company
Naw you can’t really mean that. I’m not a dish! I’m a man!
Private equity actually doing something good for once lmao
Smelling like anything is my nightmare. This picture is my nightmare
?
Look, I’ve been known to impulsively buy a fun bottle of hand soap I don’t strictly need. But I have like 2 extra bottles at any given time, not this hoard. And it absolutely gets used up.
Just the marketing is awful I would be embarrassed to have someone find out I use deodorant called Dr Squatch.
We should rank and vote on the top 10 dumbest collections.
Dr. Squatch would be there So would the Tree incense for cars
I'm normally not communist...but I would greatly support redistributation of these products to smelly nerds and redditors...for the public good.
Its one thing if you use them/play with them. But to just look at them? Weird.
This person is by far the most interesting single-serving person I've ever met.
I buy exactly one type of soap tbf I do buy 3 or 4 bottles at a time but its out of the way to get for me so its worth the extra storage. I couldn't fathom wanting to use different soap all the time I dont even like opening a new bottle
What’s good about this? It’s just soap right?
The marketing
I got one of the smells and it was pretty good. Tempted to grab a few others myself!
I accidentally have a stockpile of bar soap because I didn't realize I had a pack of 8 bars, then bought two packs of 8 bars because of a sale. But... It's just soap. I'm not buying single bars to get every scent
I used to have a soap collection, but they were different brands from various countries.
Weird yes but Also I do hoard body care items when they are on sale bec I grew up low income and they’re important to have and more expensive than they used to be. I feel like at least it’s useful. Name brand soap 🙃 yall
he definitely smells like shit because he only collects the soap and has no intention of using it
ive tried a couple bars from this brand and i could not imagine having an opinion on it higher than "its alright and easy to find". I still prefer buying cold process soap from independent makers cuz at the end of the day its the same stuff but without the ludicrous marketing budget. I get having one extra or two backups for whatever reason but this many is just stupid.
i didnt know there was a men’s version of bath and body work horders
Consoom
