I heard it was he didnt know how to use it. But still dudes a champ for taking the dude on. Hand to Hand with a firearm involved is dicy AF, the dude saved lives.
The Christ Church shooter was tackled and nearly disarmed but unfortunately no one came to help the person who charged the shooter and he ultimately lost his life. The others, despite seeing the shooter once setback, waited in the corner and were all killed.
Brave people like this man are required to stop evil like this. You just need to be aware that this evil doesn't play by rational rules.
wtf is this video. He does the bravest fucking thing imaginable, and then lets the guy stand up and walk away. Then puts the gun down! I understand putting it down as you don’t want to get shot by police, but don’t let the shooter walk away. You command them to get on the ground face first, if they don’t comply, you take them out at the knee so they have to. Then you hold them down and call for help.
Not bad for a real world hero but people need to know what to do and what not to do.
This was a complete amateur. The Australian populace are utterly disarmed. It's likely this guy had never seen a rifle in real life before. I'm willing to bet he didn't even know how to operate it beyond maybe the trigger.
Actually pulling the trigger on another human being is something beyond most decent people. And I think we can judge that this was a very decent person.
Never aim for the legs or some other baloney. Center mass. This isn't a movie. Besides, if you hit him in the legs you're probably hitting an artery that kills him in 10 mins anyway.
This dude is a hero of epic proportions. I won't levy a single criticism myself.
He deserves every accolade imaginable for choosing to do something instead of hoping someone else would, but it’s painfully obvious he was well out his depth and is as fortunate as everyone he saved with those heroic actions that it didn’t end poorly for the hero.
Sadly he chose to spare the guy, and the shooter retreated to an accomplice, retrieved a second firearm, and shot and hit the man that disarmed him.

That what happens when you’re raised in a country without guns. No American gun owner would have handled the situation that way.
Well, Australians… Say goodbye to all of the legal weapons she were allowed to own. The cowards over there will disarm you now.

Not pulling the trigger may have cost this person his life. The shooter staggered by to the other shooter, rearmed, and shot this man.
Bullshit. At point blank you end them. They were killing until you took it, you don't know what they have in their bags. Make the grass grow.
