I'm fairly certain it is... I cheated out and got the Family Dollar Brand but I only got done with a period maybe 3 weeks ago... I took it first thing this morning, but It would still be really early....
What else is this sub even used for? I looked through it and saw nothing of interest earlier... Also blame google... That's what brought me here to post, lol.
Its not that if people are confused they cant post here. But there literally subs specifically for reading pregnancy tests and subreddits for pregnancy. Why would it not make more sense to post there? And its multiple a day at this point.
Seeing as these are for the general public and not experts, it’s reasonable for the public experienced with these tests to have no problems reading them. I’m not a mechanic but I can see when my gas is low too. Because that was for the average person to understand. Unless it’s a completely faulty test, a second line does not appear at all with out HGC. It’s also right in line with her timeline for testing early it will be this faint.
Yes! My line with my first pregnancy wasn't even that dark!
They say blue tests are the least accurate so if you do decide to buy another, get a pink test or digital test. But I think it's safe to say it's positive!
I did IUI so I can pinpoint the 72 hour window I actually implanted. I tested a week and a half after implantation and this is what my test looked like. You're pregnant but just very early so you're technically about 3 weeks pregnant.
If I were you, I'd schedule an appointment with an OB to get your blood tested. They check for early pregnancy growth by figuring out whether your HCG levels are rising as expected. Two blood tests within a few days. Good luck!
ETA not implanted but conceived. Implantation can take up to two weeks which is why they didn't want me to test until two weeks after the procedure.
IUI timing would tell you when you ovulated and conceived, but the embryo doesn’t implant until 6-12 days after that and you can get a positive very quickly after implantation, a week and a half after actual implantation would be a very strong obvious positive on most tests.
Yeah, this is usually why they won't test you until 2 weeks after the procedure. I definitely didn't get a strong positive on a pregnancy test until shortly after 6 weeks (per ultrasound dating) as weird as it sounds. I was taking pregnancy tests every morning every day until I saw strong lines, despite blood tests and ultrasounds (infertility made it tough to believe).
Oh interesting, are you a particularly well hydrated person? It is interesting how much it can vary in sensitivity levels based on individual urine timing and hydration lol I hope everything went/is going well! I definitely get the hard to believe part since even though it’s not as long as some it did take us 11 cycles to get pregnant despite there seemingly being no issues with ovulation or sperm. We were about to start testing for fertility treatments when it happened and I was 100% expecting another negative.
Yeah basically. My body cycles through water very fast, I sweat a lot and have an overactive bladder. I have no health conditions to explain it, I've explored it and was tested for diabetes and hyperactive thyroid, it's just the way my body works. My blood HCG was at the expected levels for how far along I was and I'm 24 weeks right now with everything proceeding normally!
Very interesting! I’m like chronically dehydrated so mine was definitely concentrated lol I’m 28 weeks now! Merry Christmas and may we both have healthy pregnancies and smooth deliveries!
HcG dipsticks aren't necessarily pinpointable to weeks based on line. Some folks naturally have more or less in their urine at any given time. Definitely pregnant but without a blood test impossible to say when.
No, can't pinpoint how far along you are based on a line usually. It's usually calculated from the first day of your last menstrual period. If she had her period 3 weeks ago, she'd probably be around 3-4 weeks pregnant technically now. I could be wrong due to the possibility that one could be pregnant and still have bleeding like a period. Ultrasound scan dating is really the most reliable means but you wouldn't see much until 5+ weeks.
I also have free will of commenting how I feel. On a Reddit post. On Reddit lol: So your statement is contradictory. Happy holidays have a good one fam.
Honestly, I find no issues with the pregnancy post. People are only looking for reassurance. We are social creatures. Despite our disagreement on the matter. Enjoy your holiday.
Merry Christmas! If it's a healthy enough beginning and stays healthy throughout we might just be having a baby close when my birthday is, merry Christmas for my husband, happy birthday to me😉
For me, I worry about the people that have fertility issues and all these positive tests affecting them as there’s subs for these ‘questions’. And posting these obviously positive tests just seems dumb to me as what’s the point? Again though, you made a very good point.
Unfortunately I know ball. We struggled for 6 years to conceive. With losses along the way. You can never avoid the triggers. It's a pain that last even long after the rainbow baby comes. I see these post as people looking for reassurance. We are social creatures after all. I was once in their shoes. Happy holidays to you! ❤️
Definitely looks positive! Most tests can tell you pretty early these days and 3 weeks after the end of your period (so like 3+2-7 days depending on your period) is pretty prime time for finding out! I ovulated on the 13th day after the start of my period and tested positive 12 days after that quite obviously and with not the most sensitive test so was only 3 weeks and 4 days pregnant.
Yeah, it's only the first semi-positive one. I'm gonna wait it out. I have more tests coming and I'm gonna do my best to treat it like a positive at this time❤️ Merry Christmas, btw!
If you had a period a week ago, this is an evap line. They are common with blue dye tests. I had a series of them not long ago myself- every blue dye test looked positive.
My period ended about 3 weeks ago. The app I just started using says I'm due for another in 6 days. I just ordered some red dye tests and prenatal vitamins, when they arrive on tuesday or Wednesday I'll take another test. After that Ixm just gonna wait and see if I get a period.
I wouldn’t trust it. Blue dye is notoriously sketchy. I’ve gotten lines like this when I was 1000% not pregnant. It also would be very early for a positive. Try again with a pink dye test, should also be available at dollar tree and much more reliable
I have some red ones coming... This test was really early on. Took it yesterday, took this one this morning and it was definitely negative. I did order some red dye ones. Scheduled to be here Tuesday.
Was this taken during the interval they say it ought to be on the packaging? I’ve heard blue are more likely to have evaporation lines and thus give a false positive if looked at beyond the time interval they give to check it within. It definitely is a second line though, so if it was within the allotted time span then congratulations 🎉 you’re pregnant.
Yes that is a positive. I tested positive two weeks after conception - for some people the HCG hormone is higher than others and you can test positive very early. The tests at Family Dollar are actually rated very highly!
Get a FRER and test again with first morning urine and make sure to read it within the window on packaging! Looks positive but blue dye tests are more likely than red dye to have problems.
It's a really clear positive and quite dark line all things considered. False positives are exceedingly rare and typically indicate a health issue. Congrats on your pregnancy.
No I thought you had to get an indication in both little windows. One window let’s you know it’s working the second window let’s you know the test is positive
There is a minor one in the big window, very light... Like I said, it's only been about 3 weeks since my last period... I was wondering if maybe it was just really early. If not then not.
My first pregnancy, took a test about six weeks after my missed period, and it lit up like a firework. My next pregnancy, which I ended up miscarrying, the line was fainter, but I also tested earlier. I would expect, if it is a viable pregnancy, the line will get darker as the pregnancy progresses.
I'm sorry for your loss... I know if it's accurate it's SUPER EARLY. Probably no more than 3 weeks. I ordered some red tests & prenatal vitamins (just in case).
Yeah this is for sure pos. I remember taking one of these randomly and wasn't expecting a good and this showed up and to me it looked light. I sent it my bestie and I said "don't mention this to anyone but is this positive? I'm so unsure!" And she immediately replied with holy shit that's super positive whose test is it? Hahahahaha and that's all it took for my heart to sink. Congrats girl!
Not to me, it wasn't, lol. I got good lighting with this pic... It was hard to see in person. I'm no longer than 3 weeks, either. I'm due to have my next period in 6 days
Edit: I took the 2nd test in the kitchen this morning, of course it was a dud... Ordered some red dye tests, along with prenatal vitamins.
my dad who passed away Saturday was a libra. my mom is a Leo. so is my son. I however..am a Virgo. so weird how that works sometimes. I was so close to my dad, so if you wanna go by astrology alone.. you and future bebe will probably become bffs.
I tried this morning as the other is from yesterday and of course the second test is a dud. I ordered some red dye tests and they should be here Tuesday.
Actually the one I took this morning wasn't a dud, just took forever to show up. There's no second line on the new one. Oh well🤷♀️ I have red dye tests coming regardless.
I hate blue dye. I got 2 + that were actually darker than that after my husband had already had a vasectomy for 10 years. Did a pink dye and it was -. I was freaked and confused and went to the doctor the same day and they did a blood test and was completely negative. I never trusted blue dye again.
Honestly my tests are always this way right around the time I'm supposed to get my period. I'm nauseated tired boobs hurt and all and always are slightly positive like this when I test and would get period days later...I have pcos. Have had 4 term pregnancies and multiple miscarriages. Better to wait for a darker line.
Pregnancy test detect an specific hormone HCG, secreted by the embrional structure that Will later become a placenta. You may get a false negative if the concentration in urine is low, but usually the faintest line is considered positive (the only other source of that hormone is a certain type of cancer)
Anyway, the tests are becoming more and more precise, detecting HCG around ten-twelve days after ovulating, 3-4 days before menstruation is due. What nobody tells you is the percentage of embrios failing to implant an that stage is rather high. Most women don't find out they have been pregnant because when they take the test, the hormone and the embrio are already gone.
They may also believe they had a false positive, and tests are not that accurate if they took an early test
Nice job judging strangers on the internet for literally no reason. Dollar tree pregnancy tests are actually known for being pretty reliable so some people use them on purpose.
You're an idiot. Why pay a bunch of money for something you're going to pee on? This isn't even from the dollar tree, those are actually more accurate!
Doctors offices use cheap ones and recommend people especially who will be testing frequently do as well. Mature people who’ve been on a fertility journey know that.
Typically it’s just urine at your confirmation appointment unless they have a reason to test your blood (like if you have a history of loss or have done IUI or IVF etc). It has been for each of my pregnancies anyway, and full bloodwork is done later.
I definitely see a line. But try again tomorrow. First pee.
If this is what you’re hoping for, congratulations! If not, I’m sorry and I hope you can find a safe and reasonable solution for your situation.
Best wishes!
Wow, that is beautifully said. Excellent job.
So thoughtful!
If op holds on to it, it'll keep darkening. dont feel like you have to toss it right at the fifteen min mark.
Yeah. Thats pos. Been pregnant a lot. Lost a lot. But I know a positive. That’s it.
Ive had two myself and think mods should redirect these posts to pregnant subreddits. Its too much. Sorry for your losses <3
I agree what is with all of these pregnancy tests? There are proper subs for this.
Its annoying as hell
i had to unfollow and it's still popping up on my feed
I wasnt even following it and it still came up constantly. Its obnoxious
Same. Idk why this even started coming up on my feed, but Christmas is a hard time, and I'd prefer not to see pregnancy tests all over the place.
Ya really doesn't help with the holiday cheer
What else is this sub even used for? I looked through it and saw nothing of interest earlier... Also blame google... That's what brought me here to post, lol.
Its not that if people are confused they cant post here. But there literally subs specifically for reading pregnancy tests and subreddits for pregnancy. Why would it not make more sense to post there? And its multiple a day at this point.
I get ya... I just didn't see any other posts on here that gathered any other attention than these. But I did look briefly on Christmas day... So...
Love to you ♥️
Sorry to hear that, hope you’re doing better now ❤️
I hope not all lost. I'm sorry, I lost one and that was hard.
A week after a period? Physically impossible
Are you a obgyn too? If not you don’t know a positive for sure.
Seeing as these are for the general public and not experts, it’s reasonable for the public experienced with these tests to have no problems reading them. Man my wife and I lost a couple.
I’m sorry 😞
Every blue dye test I’ve taken has looked like this but I was never pregnant. I only use pink dye tests now! Lol
This☝🏽 I’ve been trying to conceive for a couple years now and blue dyes have broken my heart so I only do pink dyes.
Blue dye tests always gave me a false positive. It might not hurt for OP to try a pink dye test tomorrow.

Anyway, yes you are most certainly pregnant. Time to schedule your appointments.
Yes! My line with my first pregnancy wasn't even that dark!

Definitely can still have an early pregnancy period, especially if it was light
Say goodbye to your independence!
I had a PG test look like this once. He turned 29 last month.
There’s literally a subreddit called r/amipregnant . I’m so sick of seeing these and I never complain and about repetitive things on Reddit.
Sorry, this sub is what came up when I searched r/pregnancy test. Take it up with reddit🤷♀️
You do realize you have free will right? Don't like a post scroll by. It's really that simple.
Is this stupid trend ever going to end. Post on the pregnancy subs for Christ’s sake!!!
Sorry! Only time I'll ask! I'll let you know any updates though if you like😏
Can’t wait. Thanks! Congratulations, btw, and Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas! If it's a healthy enough beginning and stays healthy throughout we might just be having a baby close when my birthday is, merry Christmas for my husband, happy birthday to me😉
Aww, Congratulations! I hope the birth aligns like that. Makes both of your birthdays extra special!
Its's been 15 years since I was pregnant... Or even had a legit pregnancy "scare" lol. Although this was one was more unintentionally intentional🤷♀️
I don't understand why people are complaining. If you don't like a certain post you can simply scroll by.
That is an excellent point. Thank you.
For me, I worry about the people that have fertility issues and all these positive tests affecting them as there’s subs for these ‘questions’. And posting these obviously positive tests just seems dumb to me as what’s the point? Again though, you made a very good point.

So was he... Some of him still is, lol
Lmaooooooo
CONGRATUDOLONCES!!
Lol, thanks😊
I’m thinking you’re due in late August.
Probably... Funny because I have a whole was born on August 23rd and a son who was born September 13th, lol
Blue lines are finicky. Verify with red or pink dye. But it looks promising
I did order some earlier today, along with prenatal vitamins☺️
The real question is it a boy or girl?
I'll be happy either way but I'm kinda hoping for a girl. We already have one girl (21), 2 boys (18, 15). Of course I will love them no matter what🥰
Totes pos! 😁 Congratulations!
Took one this morning and it was obviously negitive😔 no harm in continuing to try though, lol
I would request an HCG blood draw to know for sure if there was an inconsistency.
Yeah, it's only the first semi-positive one. I'm gonna wait it out. I have more tests coming and I'm gonna do my best to treat it like a positive at this time❤️ Merry Christmas, btw!

Not sure where I read your period was a week ago! In that case, fingers crossed!
Took a test this morning and it was a nay, so who Knows... kinda surprised Ixm disappointed though...
All the other tests I've taken haven't had any visible line besides the regular one.
Ain't nothing to be confused about, your eggo is preggo!
Next test wasn't as promising unfortunately
Was this taken during the interval they say it ought to be on the packaging? I’ve heard blue are more likely to have evaporation lines and thus give a false positive if looked at beyond the time interval they give to check it within. Preg fer sure
Ya grats
You're preggo, sister girl.
My now 6 year old showed up as this.
Yes that is a positive. I tested positive two weeks after conception - for some people the HCG hormone is higher than others and you can test positive very early. The tests at Family Dollar are actually rated very highly!
🙂↕️
I believe so
Yea I def see a line
Get a FRER and test again with first morning urine and make sure to read it within the window on packaging! Looks positive but blue dye tests are more likely than red dye to have problems.
Congrats
Use dollar tree tests. It's the same strips they use at the doctors office. My sister has always used those and now has three boys.
[deleted]
Get educated.
Merry Christmas!
Yes
It’s been six minutes since you posted… did it get darker?
Lol. Nope. From this morning, been that dark since about 6am. It's now 945pm where I am. Pulled it out of the trash to take that pic 6+ minutes ago
Congratulations
Congratulations, you're pregnant.
Congratulations you’re pregnant it’s positive and clear to see
Positive 💯
As long as that line came up within the time frame of the test, a faint line is still a positive
I’ve heard of people getting positives as early as 7DPO, so if you finished your period 3 weeks ago that’s right one time. Looks positive to me!
It's a really clear positive and quite dark line all things considered. False positives are exceedingly rare and typically indicate a health issue. Congrats on your pregnancy.
This is DEF a positive. My first test was so hard to see, most people would have thought I was nuts if I showed them. This I saw quickly scrolling by.
Congrats!
Yes. I had 3 full blown negative tests and was still pregnant (she’s 16 now). This is definitely positive.
It's a light line, but, it's a line.
You're pregnant!
Yes
Yes, even grandma can see this one.
Your ego is prego !
Whatever this is - pregnancy, covid, or flu - it's positive! Congratulations.
🤣
there’s color there so, yes probably. retest with red dye!
Yes
Congrats
Definitely positive
Oh most definitely! That’s positive af!
Congrats!
Do you need glasses or something
Maybe, I did turn 40 this year🤷♀️
Yep.
A faint line is a line.
Apparently not. Took another this morning and there was nothing there...
Yes you’re pregnant
I don’t want to fight with people on this sub again. But yes.
All of the pregnancy test are the same regardless of cost. You are pregnant.
Yes
this sub fascinates me, when it's the most obvious positive you've ever seen
Not to me, it wasn't, lol. I got good lighting with this pic... It was hard to see in person. I'm no longer than 3 weeks, either. I'm due to have my next period in 6 days Edit: I took the 2nd test in the kitchen this morning, of course it was a dud... Ordered some red dye tests, along with prenatal vitamins.
I can loook at that without my glasses, without even squinting, and I see it.
It's there.
My congratulations/condolences.
Aw your gonna have a little Virgo
Or Libra!
If you’re lucky!
Probably a Virgo or a leo though.
I'm a libra, my daughter is a leo/Virgo cusp and my son a virgo.
A libra babe will bring much balance to this family
my dad who passed away Saturday was a libra. my mom is a Leo. so is my son. I however..am a Virgo. so weird how that works sometimes. I was so close to my dad, so if you wanna go by astrology alone.. you and future bebe will probably become bffs.
So sorry for you loss❤️ I hope he rests peacefully and you can find peace...
Negative.
Yup!
r/lineporn is for this
Thank you!
That’s a positive test congratulations
Looks like it! Try again tomorrow first thing in am.
Could also try an “early indicator” test
Early, not wrong. Congrats. You're having a little one!
Next one I took said nay, so... I dunno. Maybe Baby🤷♀️
Yeah it's a positive test. Congrats or I'm sorry
I was hoping so... nezts wasn't as promising, ungortunately
Absolutely. I see a line, although it's faint. Give it a few days and test again. Best of luck.
You're definitely pregnant, congrats!
I hate blue dye. I got 2 + that were actually darker than that after my husband had already had a vasectomy for 10 years. Did a pink dye and it was -. I was freaked and confused and went to the doctor the same day and they did a blood test and was completely negative. I never trusted blue dye again.
Any second line is a positive result. I’ve got 3 kids to prove it. Congratulations. 😎
Get a pink dye non cheap test and you’ll get your real answer
Already ordered some
There’s quite literally a whole subreddit for these posts.
Yep!
r/lineporn r/TFABlineporn
Definitely get in with a doctor make sure all is well if you intend to keep the little bean.
That’s definitely a positive.
Honestly my tests are always this way right around the time I'm supposed to get my period. Post this in r/lineporn! Those ladies are experts test readers!
Also use a red dye test! Blue dye tests are notorious for evaporation lines. There are several cheap red dye tests available!

What was your statement?
Was there a conversation in your head before this?

Nice job judging strangers on the internet for literally no reason. Dollar tree pregnancy tests are actually known for being pretty reliable so some people use them on purpose.
This is maybe the dumbest thing I’ve read on the internet.
Go to bed.
Why would you need to spend a lot of money on something you’re going to pee on and throw away after?
It's the same thing. You might not be ready to interact with humans if you're gonna be an ignorant jerk.
Those are extremely reliable and accurate. No sense in paying $20 for one when the cheap ones work the same.
Don’t doctors offices do blood tests?
Typically it’s just urine at your confirmation appointment unless they have a reason to test your blood (like if you have a history of loss or have done IUI or IVF etc). It has been for each of my pregnancies anyway, and full bloodwork is done later.
