I've been doing a series like this over on /r/CFB for 6 years now, started for College Basketball last year. The post attempts to visualize consistency between voters in the AP Poll in a single image. Additionally it sorts each AP voter by similarity to the group. Notably, this is not a measure of how "good" a voter is, just how consistent they are with the group. Especially preseason, having a diversity of opinions and ranking styles is advantageous to having a true consensus poll. Polls tend to coalesce towards each other as the season goes on.
Jordan Hansen sat out again for the 3rd week in a row. Lauren Kirschman, Joe Buettner, and Jeff Rabjohns also sat out this week week so there were only 60 voters.
Jon Werner was the most consistent voter this week. Top 5 of Clayton Collier, Sheldon Mickles, Wayne Epps, Kevin Brockway, and Jerry Carino remain unchanged.
Jesse Newell was again the biggest outlier this week. Jesse Newell, Jon Wilner, Luke DeCock, and Seth Davis remain the top 4 outliers, with Paul Klee moving ahead of Sam Blum into 5th.
WTF, I love Dickie V now.
Who doesn’t
Cleveland State really be getting votes
Sam Blum picking Georgetown #25 LMFAO
They're playing like they could actually make a run. It's a fair pick at 25.
I know, it’s just WILD to see
Alabama wins the SEC tourney, Stephen Tsia moves us BACK 6 spots???
Wow, someone put GT at 13 and Dicky V put them at 16. But Zach Klein didn’t even vote for GT lol. That’s so weird to me
How the fuck does this paste eater Jesse Newell get a vote? A toddler could do his job better.
Jesse Newell suckssss
How could he possibly be so down on the big 12 but have loyola chicago and Colorado above them
It took me way too long to realize that Ohio St wasn’t Oklahoma
Jesse Newell sticking strong with his fuck WVU vibes
He's down on the Big 12 in general, which is unconventional but internally consistent. My own metrics with respect to the Big 12 are more in line with his than with the rest of the group's.
Bruce Pascoe hates puppies
