Synopsis: An old friend reunites with the group seemingly withholding information. The Ebott Seven are forced to make a difficult choice, and measure how much they trust each other.

  • Part 2 took longer than I had hoped. I rewrote it twice, it's hard to write Sans in character and not in character at the same time, if that makes sense. If it doesn't, it will.

And don't worry, I'm not done with the 4 that decided to stay behind, that's not just a lazy way to write them out of the story, I still got plans for each of them. A sort of A-plot, B-plot type of story.

    Thanks for reading folks.

Don’t worry bro take your time!!!

Don’t worry bro , it makes a lot of SANS-

ALSO TYSM FOR ALL THEESE EFFORTS MOST PEOPLE JUST QUIT WHEN THEY JUST FlFINISHED A FEW CHAPTERS TYSM !!!

I like writing. People actually enjoying it is a nice bonus.

  • shower thought but the text that comes at the end is the SAME text that is used when clover saves in a genocide route. Could this imply that maybe SOMEHOW that clover might gain save/load in the future(considering that they do plan to drain frisk of DT with KARMA). Wouldnt the power to save/load naturally fall to flowey/chara next?

    Naturally being the keyword. ;)

alright, so guess clover might need to take a trip to a feathered friend... ;D

  • P.O.V The player is controlling Frisk this whole ahh time-

While this would be pretty funny, the "player" concept isn't really a thing in Unearthed. The concept of the curious, apathetic player that just wants to see all the game has to offer is more-or-less just embodied by Frisk.

  • Guys. Hear me out.

It’s interesting that he specifically chose seven members for the Ebott Seven? Why not 8? Or 6? Or 12? I think what Antagonist is foreshadowing is that each member of the Ebott Seven will correspond to one of the seven souls. Chara corresponds to Frisk (duh). Idk about the other souls but I’m sure Antagonist will come up with something. Skeptics might say: “oh but Clover and Chara are among the seven souls so what about the remaining spots?”, to that I counter with: The Old Wizard Guy Paradox. We know that in the Ebott Institute, Asgore is the only CURRENT member. Antagonist specified it’s used to house both wizards and monsters, so what if: one of the past wizards is one of the Seven MAGES?! 7-7-7, what is Antagonist trying to tell us? Maybe “7” is a metaphysical concept within the Unearthed universe that represents something. The mages can now fill the empty spots and the remaining ones can be filled with human wizards. It’s that simple. It’s also interesting how none of the other souls have appeared yet, but I have an explanation. There are two parts in Unearthed Season Two. 7 times 3 is 21. 21/2=10.5

    10.5

In ten and a half days, the other souls will awaken!!! While we don’t know much about them, we can turn to mythology to give us clues. The number ten can symbolize completeness, finality and perfection. Guess who is absolutely obsessed with power and control? Frisk. In 10.5 days, Frisk will achieve some sort of perfect form and awaken the souls!!! Interestingly, Frisk has no soul. Just like how in some legends dragons are soulless. And dragons can symbolize control. So we can infer that Frisk in their perfect form will awaken and puppeteer the souls, making them work against the Ebott Seven against their will. Heroes of Justice like Clover frequently are pitted against tyrants, so this makes even MORE SENSE!!! Certain birds and bird related things like feathers are not only symbols of freedom but also symbols of integrity. Interestingly, a peacock can have 175 feathers. 7 again. And 5: the FIFTH SOUL!!! Is Antagonist trying to tell us that Integrity will be related to birds in some way? But skeptics might say: “oh but that’s too random”, no it isn’t because MARTLET. Integrity soul and Martlet are both blue. And martlet is a bird. Is Integrity gonna be connected to Martlet in some way? Hm…

Anyway that’s all for today. Great work Antagonist! :D

This is a lot lmao. Most of it is reaching, but you got one part eerily correct, I will not elaborate on which part however. Nice analysis.

METAL SONIC WAKE THE HELL UP I NEED YOU TO ANALYZE MY THEORY RN!!!!!!!!

  • Here’s my crack idea for how the Ebott Seven can gain the upper hand against Frisk. This is how they can win this story.

Find their sleeping location. Keep them asleep. Then, collect info. See how their future plans unfold while they’re gone. Then, try to inflict some sort of mental damage to make them unable to turn back time if things work out. Or maybe just magic to hide any memories or make them confess. If that works. Clover is implied to maybe have some telepathic ability. Put a machine on a timer that’ll kill them if nobody returns to reset it.

There we go! So much extra time to do things!

How to beat a time traveler 101, folks.

How to find their sleeping location? Sans can teleport. He can probably leave microphones and cameras all around with that. It’s so ridiculously easy.

sorry for the idea but I’ve been considering it for a while

  • Okay, so! Now, we have a cyan title. I saw a previous comment that theorised the Ebott Sevens parallel human souls, and was confirmed right. Chara is a red soul, and Clover is the Justice soul. The person saw Sans as Patience, which I also think fits. Here, Sans initiated the "soul searching."
If the other Ebott sevens have their own "B-plot" at the center of the story, then they might have a title that corresponds to the color of the soul they parallel !

    Sans/Mystery man

I really get the vibe that Sans is controlled by the mystery man, but not in a "possession" way. I still stand with my theory about the soul fragment he absorbed. Sans seems to be in character at times. The least "in character" thing about him is that he doesn't explain things to the other monsters. He's usually not that "closed off." Sure, he keeps secrets, but I wouldn't see him mentioning so many things and brushing off other monsters' interrogation.

However, the "rude" comment about Flowey not liking the Mystery Man makes it seem like Flowey was directly talking/reacting. He definitely feels "present" sometimes, though, it doesn't feel quite right. For now, the best way I can explain it is as a "copilot" situation, where Sans shares some of the mystery man's mindset, and he is present in some way.

In the teaser, he said that the barrier "wasn't his priority." Maybe he planned to stop the anomaly once and for all Was that something he planned a while ago ? He's still kind of shifty ; it seems like he has his own plan. Why does he seem so distant from Chara and Clover, who also want to stop Frisk ? He still has a fascination with some experiments, so I don't quite know how he views things.

But Chara's knowledge of timelines could allow him to gain information. After all, they were so close to Frisk so many times. Was that the reason he made a deal with Clover, knowing they would also have Chara's revival at heart? Could he do it from his realm just because he wanted to? Or did he have to abide by a rule? Did he want to kill two birds with one stone by having Clover deliver the soul while he was already planning to revive Chara either way ?

Ebott sevens and Frisk's potential plans

But I'm worried about the Ebott Sevens staying in the cave too long. I felt like going with Sans was a better chance of Frisk finding them. I just don't know how Frisk could find their location. Oh, I might have a small idea : Muffet. She was the least close to any of the other cast members. With some convincing and Frisk's knowledge of her, and good money, she could have her spiders search every nook and cranny of the caves.

Frisk finding any of them could be dangerous since they mostly want to find Clover and Chara. They could manipulate Asgore to push the others to reveal their location. But they have the advantage of Frisk not knowing Ceroba, Starlo, and Kanako as well as the other monsters of "their" main cast. So, I don't think they can predict their moves as well. Plus, Kanako and Flowey have complicated powers to deal with.

My last theory is that they won't remain isolated and will connect with monsters who will be on their side, making it more like a "civil war." My main thought was definitely about Martlet right after the epilogue. She is guaranteed to be on their team once Clover reaches out to her. The same goes for the Feisty Five once Starlo reach out to them. However, I feel like Sans wouldn't want to contact his friends and endanger them. Lastly, given what Frisk has done, he could target Papyrus, threaten him, and even take him captive by accusing him of being Sans's accomplice. They tend to exploit everyone's weaknesses, after all, especially their close relationships.

So, again, the best course of action seems to be to reunite the monsters of the Wild East/Undertale Yellow : Dalv, Martlet, the Feisty Five, and other secondary monsters of the Dunes, Lower Snowdin, Dark ruins... Frisk doesn't know them well enough to predict how they will act like he could with Sans, Chara, and Clover.

I rarely ever will just confirm stuff. But you brought up 2 things that I want to shed more light on.

The first thing is color theory; in the first season, every chapter from part 9 onwards had a 2-word title card, colored of course: Red and Yellow. This was symbolism for how Clover and Chara were finally reunited after part 8.

From now on though, I'm using more colors In the titles, and not limiting myself to a restrictive word count. The Ebott Seven parallel the 7 souls, but it doesn't really go much deeper than that, it's a parallel that I thought was neat. That being said however, I plan for every member of the 7 to have their own centric-chapter, along with a few others, characterized by the title's color (Which does not directly follow the soul format). So I'll just spill them here: (Yellow=Clover) (Red=Chara) (Cyan=Sans) (Green=Flowey) (Blue=Ceroba/Kanako) (Orange=Starlo) (White=Frisk) (Purple=Asgore)

The second thing is the Mystery Man's deals, he did not have to abide by any rules. The deals aren't so much his power, they're a method he uses to achieve his own goals from within his prison. He exists outside of time and space, which is what allows him to do things like revive Chara. But he is not actually bound by any rule to follow through on his end.

I like characters with a sort of code, the Mystery Man has one too: He is not a liar. He may not share information, or appear trustworthy, but he will always keep his word, and won't actively lie to achieve his goals. That's a double edged sword, because on one hand, he revived Chara of his own volition, but on the other: He's the reason Frisk still has ownership over their own soul, rather than Chara.

I like the analysis. Thanks for reading.
