The buildings still look old in the video. What a crowd.
Doesn't it seem rude or annoying that the motorcycle cop is talking to the band leader while they are trying to play, lol. I would have been like..." hey buddy, we are kinda playing music here, piss off" 🤣
1929 was only around half way through the first wave of the Great Migration. There were simply a lot fewer black people in Cleveland at the time. Even NYC, a city now famous for its diversity, was over 90% white in 1930.
So when I said I’m not offended and was glad you posted the video you just missed that comment? I love history and this video is awesome, I just thought it was weird that your first thought was check it out no black folks.
I didn't post the video. I also like history and think that dark aspect of our history is interesting. This is the first video i've seen that kind of showcases that darkness in a cheerful light. It feels a bit sureal to me.
Is this looking east down Euclid? I think that’s the Keith building on the left.

Sure is, side by side comparison.

During segregation. I couldn't spot a single black person.
There’s one at 3:24 in the black hat to the right of the utility pole.
Feels like a wheres waldo.

Ah, that's a good point. Thanks for the extra context.
1929…that was barely 80 years after actual slavery. The civil rights era was during the 1950s…learn some history
What makes you think I don't know all of that? It's all pretty basic information.
I was just pointing out something I found interesting since I don't see a lot of videos of crowds from that time.
And if you are going to be a condescending ass, at least get your facts right. 1865-1929 is 64 years. Not "barely 80"
Same reason you want to be a pedant and mention segregation and lack of colored people.
That's what I found interesting about the video. Sorry if you are offended by that.
I’m not. I loved the video and I’m glad you posted it. Just found it weird that was the first thing you would mention.
Would you mind giving me a list of things that I am allowed to find interesting or mention? That way I don't offend you again.
