Its frustrating that in order to fully see where my troops failed at i have to restart the replay a few times to see it in game. Yes there is fast forward at a quicker speed but the easiest way is to screen record hop off clash watch the video and log back in. Ok cool.. But doesn't that defeat the purpose of even having replay in game? Easy fix to this supercell, add a rewind button, keep clashers on clash not having to go great lengths for something so simple.
"Easy fix" is creating an entirely new replay system from the current one.
That's true, but clash of clans is seriously in need of better features across the board for a game this big.
Chat is garbage, searching players/clans is laughable, the recruiting tool is pretty trash, armies are slightly better now, thank god, clan management is attrocious. The list goes on.
I just started playing coc again a month ago after a five year break and I was surprised that all these things are still the same
These replays are not stored as videos so it’s not an easy fix. I believe they recreate the attacks
Yes, only player actions are stored, based on that the attack is simulated again. This is a lot less storage than an entire video. It’s also why replays are sometimes unavailable after an update. If something gets buffed or nerfed the simulation would look different than the actual attack that happened.
While this is true, it would cool to be able to see the differences in past attacks, based on the balance changes. Would be interesting to see attacks now fail, or attacks now succeed.
I don’t expect it to ever happen as this will probably cause lots of complaints/people not understanding what they’re watching

I second this suggestion, 2026 almost here SC still using this replay system that only has the fast forward and play/pause option.
hm, 2026 and ppl still have no Idea about Features and how they are implemented but complain "I could do a better job in 2025"

this is more like "i know how that feature is implemented and why it's not that easy to do a rewind/scroll feature.
But it has been stated why and what bei SC for multiple times.
For all that matters, I could not care less for any fuckin company especially that size.
But I despise how ppl online always say " Just buy more devs and do it" or" why don't they just implement it" especially in the COC sub. Everyone who has a Background or any deeper interest in coding and game development hates ppl for such nonsense takes.
