They kinda need to be for people in casual clans. My clan is super casual with some people I know IRL and others in my region. Most of them are active maybe 15-30 minutes a day. Without all the cakes I would either have to leave or use up all my raid medals to fill cc every week.
That said. I just want to hit legend once then I will propably drop down to electro 31 and chill there so I don't care that much.
I am currently in legends and got myself a donation account. So that no matter how active my clan is, I always manage my 8 attacks. Usually I wait for someone to donate but if that takes too long I use my alt.

If you're saying the Town Hall as a whole is stronger in TH16 because it has the town hall poison, sure, but the town hall weapon itself is stronger in TH17.
No. The weapon is objectively stronger on TH17, and the loss of death damage is transferred to the giga bomb trap.
The death damage only activating on the destruction of the town hall made it less useful than having a trap that goes off wherever you want in the base. It's not a downgrade, it's just different.
mine is mighty morsel,i hope every ranked battle they will give it for free and i only returned full time last october,i recently upgraded th16 and my backup are th14 and 12...my th16 only has slightly better level than the 14 and i see a ton of difference when i use a morsel at 16..
I wish there was an option to do all your Legends attacks over the week instead of daily, because this was basically me in the electro leagues - I'd get a few in here and there but then one evening or weekend day I'd get the majority in. But in LL I can't get 8 in every day without fail in order to actually push a bit, so it feels a bit less like I'm competing in a league to get as high as I can and more like I'm already at a disadvantage because some days I don't have enough time for 8 attacks.
Honestly speaking I played ranked battles for a month straight getting promoted thrice and then came that time when I got busy for weeks and got demoted twice back to back, now I'm on the verge of getting another demotion, and I feel nothing serious, I am just logging in to keep my builders busy and lab working that's it. F*ck the ranked system, it gets bad when you stop attacking there...

Yesterday I literally realized I was f*ked in my league with like 25 min left. I'd only done 3 attacks all week. The cake saved me. I did like 11 attacks and managed to finish 79th
Snacks should be both storable and stackable as well as the builder and research potion. Like using 1x builder potion will provide me 10 (9) hours of advancement, so if I use all 5 of them, then it should provide me 50 (49) hours of advancement within 1 hour duration.

Ive hit 97% average in electro 32 as a th 17 with a pretty easy to use meteor golem deck (no fireball) from a guy called oki on youtube

Inferno Artillery is definitely stronger. Also firespitters and the short-range multi gear tower definitely make th17 more difficult than th16.
