The city's greater extent is now largely finished. More density will be added, more refinement will come - but the current street network completes official city limits for Providence. More industrial and agricultural districts have been added, as well as some taller buildings. The city is somewhat decentralized, with multiple "downtown" areas.
Inspired by the fractured skylines of cities like Los Angeles and Dallas, where highrise development tends to be haphazard and unregulated, as opposed to a more disciplined approach clustering most tall buildings in one place. I also tried to create an interesting contrast between farms and open spaces which represent very low density, juxtaposed against major development.
Humble, local, unplanned development awkwardly clashes with a grandiose, overengineered, and international city. It's deliberately a bit of a mess - but probably the most unique build I've ever built in CS2.
Why the KCMO Government logo
My other build in CS1 was inspired by Carthage and Kansas City. This one is inspired by New Orleans in a fictional interpretation of Louisiana.
The flag mashes up emblems from New Orleans and Kansas City, to create a hypothetical shared flag for the two builds which exist in the same unvierse - as sister cities - anchoring a megaregion extending from Southern Missouri to coastal Louisiana.
