I'm chronically ill so is my doggo. He is my entire memtal health. I have to start studying again next mornth and I struggled so much this year, gave up because nothing could stick in my head. I don't know how I'm going to study while dealing with the loss of my baby, loss of work and going back to eating once a day. I feel like I've failed him because I can't afford his meds anymore...

  • Grieving an animal is very difficult. I’m so sorry. Please check out Jackie Pajan’s TikTok page.

She deals with animals who have crossed the rainbow bridge and how to help those of us deal with the pain of losing our beloved animals.

  • are you putting him down because you can’t afford his meds anymore or has he declined and quality of life isn’t fair anymore? If it’s because of the money I would reach out to rescues to see if they can help! Or start a go fund me. I’d donate in a heart beat!

    I can't afford his meds.

And what does he have? I want to help you figure this out so that you don’t have to put him down

    Where are you located

  • I feel bad for you. I’ve been through this a few times and it’s never easy. Be strong and do what needs to be done . Time will heal your pain

    It's horrible.

My golden retriever was there for me when I first got crps ( 8 years ago) and now he turns 11 next year. He has tops maybe 2 years left of his life. I can't even think about it without getting upset.

I’ve been through this hell. These aren’t pets they’re like kids or family. Not much I could tell you to make you feel better. This is a process that you just need to ride out. We take these loving creatures into our lives knowing just how short theirs are. When my babies go I take comfort in knowing I gave them maximum love . You should find comfort in this as well

  • Is there anything anyone can do to help you with this transition? I know where you are and what you are going through, because I went through the same thing in 2016. If you want to know my experiences, what I learned, and how best to help, please send me a message. My pets are my life, and having to say goodbye is overwhelming. You need tools right now to manage your coming loss. I have tools to give.

  • I would definitely have someone with you if you put your dog down. It helps to have someone there to support you. Sorry you are having to make that decision.
