  • Yes

What exactly is God going to do to me? The fact that your giving me a yes answer is making me worried because I feel like since God knows that I’m writing a book that I’m passionate about, he’s going to prevent me from getting it published as a punishment for sin.

God takes an eternal view of your life. It's not tit for tat like that. The wages of sin is death, but God forgives the repentant sinner through faith in Christ.

I’m really confused. Can you say that in a more simple way? Sorry, I just don’t really understand your wording.

You ever read the parable of the woman at the well? Or the prodigal son?

    I don’t really read books.

Are you just trolling everyone here lol?

No. What makes you say that?

    ;My book is very Biblical

;Prodigal Son? I don't read books

    :/

I never really had an interest in reading books. But that doesn’t mean I wont have an interest in writing my own.

    Youre a terrible teacher lol

  • The Bible is completely silent about masturbation. If it was a sin, God would have told us. The Bible is very clear about what’s a sin and what isn’t. People have always masturbated. It’s not something new that wasn’t around at the time for the Bible to be able to mention it. If it was a sin we wouldn't have to jump through interpretive hoops using verses that don’t mention it to find a way to make the Bible say it’s a sin. The Bible would just say it is a sin if it’s something God didn’t want us to do.

This isn’t saying making use of pornography is acceptable. In the bible “uncovering nakedness” was seen as part of the sex act. We make reasonable allowances for medical and clinical settings, because they are not sexual in nature, but using pornography is not something Christians can do.

Do not be overrighteous, neither be overwise— why destroy yourself? (Ecc 7:16)

I’ve been told that masterbation is a sin because it’s basically adultry.

Adultery is when a married person has sex with someone they aren't married to. That's definitely not what masturbation is.

Yeah but generally when your wacking off your fantasizing about women that your not married to.

  • Is it considered a sin? Yeah. Is it a pretty normal thing? Yeah. Humans sin, humans repent, rinse, repeat. I heard an old joke about a hotel owner being happy when Mormon conventions would come into town, apparently when they're away from their wives, they watch the most PPV porn. What I'm saying is that the people who may say God will punish you for it are either actively doing it themselves or at the very least they used to.

Consider this: even atheist dudes recognize something that's been termed "post-nut clarity". Part of that "clarity" is a feeling of shame or regret. I'm no biologist, but I hear from a reliable source that it's a feeling that men get after masturbating rather often. Perhaps that's what you're feeling. Know this: one day, you'll probably find a kindred spirit and marry her. Hopefully you two will have good sexual energy - when one's feeling it, the other's game. Then this all becomes a moot point and a habit you grew out of.

That said, working your own pipes can also be a legit addiction, so definitely try not to let it get to that level.

  • No, spellcheck may.

    You could punish yourself though.

    That makes no sense.

    You spelled masturbation wrong.

And your conscious will punish you based upon your beliefs.

I guess I may have already been punished then because of my excessive worry last night.

  • Yes he will because it causes you to make silly posts like this and then get lots of people responding to the ridiculousness of asking these kinds of questions...

What makes them silly? No one asks these to troll people, they post these questions because they get worried.

And why do we have to answer the same question every 12 hours? If you feel like you have to ask this question it behooves you to look through the post history and read the thousands of other times these questions already been asked and all the answers that go with it.

  • Of course he will. It is a sin.

But how? I’m worried because I feel like he’s going to do something that’s going to drastically upset me such as him preventing me from publishing my book, which mind you is a book that I’m very passionate about. whats worse is that I’m having a difficult time not masterbaiting which may leave me down a depressing road if I continue doing it. I want to stop because of this but it’s an addiction.

  • Yes

You should learn to spell masturbation too

I honestly didn’t know that was a typo lol.

  • Sin has it's concequence, and what Sci-fi fantasy book's title.

    Still deciding on that.
