Figured I would post. Any Charlottesville leads out there? Recently relocated back. Have reached out to UVA, some recruiters, the usual job boards. Anything else?
Edit. Coming from an education/teaching background but want to change careers.
Depends on salary expectations, etc, but there are a lot of nonprofits in the area, and educators generally have a lot of the experience needed for those.
Some of the larger private employers in the area seem to have a decent number of "open" positions but aren't actively seeking to fill them. Substitute teaching could be a stopgap until/if the situation opens up.
Gee wiz might help to know your experience and what type of position you are looking for
Right, fair. Coming from an education/teaching background but looking to change careers.
To what career?

Nice, thank you. Do you know of any resources? I've found theCNE, anything similar to that?
This is a 2020 list of nonprofits. https://news.virginia.edu/sites/default/files/charlotttesville_albemarle_organizations_accepting_donations_through_2020_cvc.pdf
Thank you
I heard 7-Eleven is hiring attendants and I heard Dollar General is also hiring.
Looking at Indeed/LinkedIn might help
UVA is hiring for a bunch of things around the hospital but not knowing your field of expertise it’s hard to help.
True true, I'll add it in the post. Coming from an education/teaching background but looking to change careers.
