I see that this question of where to find dog sitters other than on Rover was asked about a year ago and didn't get a lot of traction. We're looking for a dog sitter over New Years and we've had no real success looking on Rover, Care.com, or Craigslist. The last sitter we had lined up over Thanksgiving bailed at the last minute and the dog got an unexpected road trip. That won't work this time. Any suggestions or leads?

Are you looking for drop in visits, house-sitting, boarding at the sitters house? I may know some folks who could help! Otherwise I think most people in town use Rover or Care.com
I can’t help this New Year’s, unfortunately, but as a sitter, I’ve had some luck on Nextdoor! It’s not perfect but it works.
Ask your vet. My vet has an assistant who pet sits and I use her.
