  • Sucks we lost but I love that we’re in almost every game

Agreed, despite the loss I love the competitiveness we're showing consistently this season.

I mean at this points it’s just frustrating no? Like in close games we lose like 99% of them

Sure, but teams have to go through this to learn how to close games out. We haven't exactly been the most competitive team with this core the last half decade so everybody is getting valuable experience by playing way more of these close games.

  • Grant is looking really good, looking forward to when he is ready for more minutes.

Yeah really solid minutes, but definitely still getting his fitness and game speed back up.

  • At least Tre Mann looked really good. His minutes in the 4th quarter were great.

If he can get back to form, Sexton outta here

I like Collin Sexton but I hope he can get some time on a playoff team after playing with tanking teams for like 10 years already.

He wouldnt be good on a playoff team just like he hasnt been good here lmao. Idk why people think he's above these tanking teams hes been stuck on. He is a part of the tanking!!

  • Moose had an amazing game. Grants looking good. Lamelo is Lamelo. Thats it for tonight!

  • Melo, Moussa, Kon, Grant & Tre were all good. The rest of the team wasn't good enough to win.

I've noticed a trend last couple of games where Miles has some real bad possessions where he just forces dumb stuff because he feels himself left out of the offense. If he just plays his role he'll be efficient but won't put up huge numbers. Thats all we need from him we dont need the forcing. To be fair to him I did see opportunities where he didnt get the ball and was open but hes too much of a vet to make that make him play dumb.

That’s not the last couple games, that’s the last couple years mate. Miles shouldn’t be allowed to do anything except alley oops and open catch and shoot 3s

  • Notes 1. This team is so bipolar 2. Kon showed he can still contribute somewhat positively on the scoresheet even when the 3 isn’t falling 3. Lamelo was outstanding, without him we lose by 40 4. Moussa>Kalk, not that this is controversial 5. When Miles Bridges isn’t on fire, he’s such a black hole on the court

I'm down w trading Colin and bridges tbh

  • The Clippers were 8-2 in their last 10. That was a tough game. Miss Colin actually in that one. Need vets on the road. Kalk seems to be glazed at times against big stars. It’s like he’s star struck. Not a terrible road loss.

Colin would have added some costly turnovers thats for sure

We had trouble finishing at the rim late in the game. That miller floater brick was bad.

Sexton drives well at rim when he has space and penetration and can get to the line.

We needed those Clipper bigs in foul trouble cause the team had trouble finishing over them and with Clipper keying on Kon at the 3pt lines points weren’t easy.

  • Moussa and Kon had decent to good games and Melo is special even after a slow start.

  • when harden hit the step back i knew that shit was going in cant lie

When he and Kawhi started rolling in the 3rd I was like, welp, that was a good run.

  • Miles bridges basketball literally makes me want to die.

  • can't wait till Grant gets off the minutes restriction, we need more veteran play. whole team loses its collective IQ as soon as things are tight in the 4th

  • Disgraceful game from Miles, mainly on the defensive end. Unacceptable for him to close the game and can't wait to see him traded. Great 2nd half from LaMelo and Moussa has been awesome since becoming a starter. Felt like Kon was not involved in the offense enough but not making too much noise is one of the things that makes him great.

Dont agree with the defensive part at all

Were we watching the same game? Kawhi shot 100% when bridges guarded him on like 7 shots. Kon clamped up Kawhi and harden more often than not.

A despicable and embarrassing defensive low light effort from miles.

I can see that you like low effort

No actually i think you are blind if you could see him working so hard to shadow Kawhi and take him out of that rhythm

I would indeed be blind if I thought he worked hard

  • The amount of people complaining about Lamelo being sat in the fourth is crazy. He can't play the entire 2nd half and he played most of the third because he was on a heater.

Solid performance all around, but they just hit a cold spell in the 4th there against a vet team. Great job from Lamelo! Moussa was great too. Kon was solid too despite no threes. Tre had a good game, as well, which was nice to see. Not too mad coming out of this one.

  • Dude, we needed to trade Miles like yesterday. We absolutely need a defensive 4. That’s the only way we’re going to start being truly competitive

I wonder who's the best one we can get at the deadline.

    Draft

Need Caleb Wilson on this team lol. Im a heels homer and we havent had a player who would fit on the hornets like a glove in my lifetime.

Wilson, Boozer, or Dybantas and i’m feeling really good about the next 5 years

I’m not holding my breath but he’d be so much fun. We’ve had too many Dukies lately anyway.

Legit we just need rim pressure, length and athleticism and he solves all of those problems

JJJ if his contract wasn’t awful

It is awful and he don't bring rim pressure he forces shots

He is a rim protector 😂

Partially he's more helpside than anchor but yh he's solid on that end but I don't sew him with this team also his pace is not good

Realistically any long-term 4 will be at the draft. We might be able to move to an OK defensive 4 on an expiring, hopefully with some picks, but I wouldn’t hold out hope. I can’t see us being able to move Miles until next year when he’s an expiring contract.

  • Until this team realizes they NEED to pass to Kon when no one can create their own shot, we will keep losing close games. No one on earth wants to watch Miles Bridges try to self-create in the 4th.

It is so frustrating to watch the non-Melo starters refuse to pass to Kon.

I swear Miles does it, just depends on the game

Miles has the best chemistry with kon out of anyone on the team besides lamelo, he just won't pass to him if brandon or lamelo are playing.

I’m actually getting sick of miller.

    TRADE THEIR DUMBASSES.

  • Team didn't play stupid and I can't ask for much better. Kawhi brought his A game.

  • Bruh whoever Brandon’s trainer is needs to tell him that you’re 6’9! Stop with the floaters! Either finger roll or dunk that bitch!

  • Too much Kawhi and Harden

  • Nice fire from LaMelo. Love to see him on nights like this, even though we couldn't pull it off. Good job Moussa and Grant, too.

Even though his 3 didn't fall, I think Kon had a good night overall. He did very well getting to the basket and not a bad job defensively.

I really wish the non-LaMelos would pass to Kon more, though. There were multiple times he was wide open, and just no one (other than Melo) passes to him. I feel like Miller is especially prone to this.

Miller is prone to tunnel vision mixed with uncertainty of his spots. Is what leads to him getting stuck and turning the ball over

  • We lost this game the moment we decided to protect LaMelo's minutes in the 4th (right after he was cooking in the 3rd). That 4th quarter run from Jordan Miller shifted momentum entirely and no one could respond. Then Harden and Leonard closed as veterans know how to close games.

Major props to LaMelo he was cooking in the 2nd half.

Also shoutout to Moussa. 13p/15r/4a plus 4 blocks and a steal.

When he has a stress reaction in his ankle and is out for 4 weeks what will you say?

Real, he's literally playing in every game now and it's legit nice, even though he has to miss a few minutes. Hopefully his ankle is good next year when it's time to actually make a run.

I think adding competent players around him is doing more to protect him than a minute restriction. Players like Kon and Miller take so much pressure off him having to do and create everything.

Not saying it wasn't the right decision to protect his ankles (which has been the case for some time now). But him not playing likely cost us this game tonight while he was cooking.

Bro he played basically the whole third u can't expect him to play nearly all the 4th? But yh he shiulda came ina t like the 6th minute

  • Knew this game was cooked when “Jordan Miller” started cooking

Can’t wait till Bridges off this team 🙏

  • A loss like this but a big win against the jazz makes it so awkward whether to get a good pick or really fight for the play in

Fight for play-in. Time to try and get some playoff experience for this team. If we fail we can always jump up in the lottery like Spurs, Hawks, and Mavs did

This. Lottery is now stacked against bottoming out because you’re more likely to drop. At this point we’d be better served competing (or trying to( to legitimise ourselves in the league and get the young guys some experience, then when we inevitably miss out for one reason or another hope we can jump up. We’ve got assets to trade up if need be, and draft is deep especially at PF and PG which is where we should be looking to improve.

  • Our build-up play was actually excellent today. We weren't just relying on individual skills; we created a lot of good chances. We just had a nightmare from beyond the arcthe threes simply wouldn't fall.

  • Would’ve love for Lee to let Melo cook going into the 4th for a few minutes, sit him and then bring him back in. Probably could’ve kept the game close enough to try to win it at the end. But I’m sure his hands are tied due to the restriction.

  • Really wish we would tank at this point. It’s obvious we need another piece to be a good team

  • the ethical tank rolls on

  • Honestly surprised we stayed in it with Miles and Brandon mostly being nonfactors on offense. Miles had one of those games where he was just hunting for fouls for some reason and then was super passive. Those are always his worst games. Their Miller was more impactful than ours down the stretch.

Melo played like a superstar in the 3rd, that was awesome.

Really liked what we got from the roleplayers for the most part, but Kalk cannot be playing 12 minutes without a rebound. I thought Sion should have had more minutes, he played good D on their stars.

Overall disappointed but not discouraged, we hung tight with a surging team and two of the bestvin the league having good nights.

  • I was at the game kalk was really down in himself making silly mistakes and getting bodied in the boards. I think if he bulks up some he has good instincts just a rookie hitting a wall and coming back from injury.

  • Would love to see Brandon+miles for an all nba type player

Chill with that bro. Brandon sucked tonight but we don’t need to trade him. Don’t be so shortsighted

He has yet to shoot league average in the nba and this is his 3rd year. What does he provide besides scoring inefficiently

I hear you but we said the same about Kemba and Brandon has a much clearer path to improving

He has not even played 2 seasons worth of games yet. Chill.

    Overreaction final boss

You wanna trade our 2nd overall pick after 22 games, coming back from a significant wrist injury in year 3. He played bad today but saying things like “trade him” is silly and being dramatic

Which All NBA player is getting traded for Brandon Miller and Miles Bridges lmao

Its crazy how some of y’all don’t realize Kon and Miller is our core. They’ll definitely trade LaMelo who isn’t their guy, like they did with Mark before they trade either of Kon or Miller.

  • Miles needs to be traded

also Lee sat Lamelo for too long, i really don't like him as a coach.

Lamelo js on a minutes restriction because his ankles swell up if he plays too many minutes. This is not a Charles Lee call

I mean it is a Charles Lee’s call in conjunction with the training staff and Melo. They have talked about it a couple of times now.

More like managements call. Lee is not deciding his minutes limit over Peterson and the front office. Lee speaks about because he's the man infront of the mic and asked about it. Peterson isnt out there answering questions everyday

He played the whole 3rd quarter bc he was cooking, can’t play him the whole half

  • Looking at the play by play, Miller was doing good late second and early third and just shot once in the 4th????? What happened lol
