Very lovely, dare I say simple with an old school classic style. Was the final result with regard to the choice of material, style and wording of her choosing via in life request or via will, or of family members choices?
Edit: is she buried on private family cemetary land? Just curious as the pic looks to be in a rural treed setting. Also with regard to the seemingly extended wait time frame between selection of gravestone products to placement of them, its always a long time gap from my personal experience. My FIL's gravestone was simple but took 6 months to be placed IIRC. Even though it was his very close friend ( owns the gravestone business in our city) that made it. Also a beautiful cemetary bench was made for him out of fancy stone with his name engraved so understandably that item would take more time.
Unfortunately she died of alzheimers. If she had a will we have no idea where it was. She had lost her faculties some time ago. It was a design my mother and aunt came up with. No this is a public cemetery called Bond cemetery in Peru, IN. My grandfather, Linda's former husband, was a mortician and owned several funeral homes. He had done many funerals in this cemetery and always found it beautiful so he bought the whole immediate family plots out there. Grandma Linda and Jim had been divorced for many years but she is still buried here with him.
She was a very classy, yet simple woman. I remember that she never felt the need for anything flashy but always had nice and high quality things. She always said there was no reason to be a peacock.
I love it, it’s beautiful!
Thank you!
It is gorgeous. Lovely memorial.
Good choice. It’s got simple classic style
Very nice and looks like she’s resting in a lovely place.
