I’ll enjoy a coke with him if I ever get down there. I miss him terribly, even if I can’t grasp the meaning of his work. His voice is like an old friend.
i think he would be delighted to hear it’s hard to grasp the meaning of his work. sometimes things don’t make sense. that was the heart of a lot of his filmography. my fiancee and our friends and i had a little picnic, shared a coke and a cigarette with him today, then talked to another fan we ran into (who came to hollywood from japan). lynch’s legacy is always about community and understanding even when (and especially when) we can’t understand
Rude! Some of these comments would’ve disappointed him. And while smoking and cigarettes is bad, he enjoyed the life he wanted. How about we go ahead and judged your bad habits when you die?
LOL i wish i could have. we have plans to go to bob’s big boy and arrange some flowers in one of their drink cups for him. maybe someone could do the same with a coffee cup 🤍
i didn’t see any giant blocks, so i suppose they did. the grass isn’t fully grown in on the earth though, so they did have some traffic cones blocking the front of the gravesite
He didn't want to die, and stated he would have done things differently, but he lived his own life, and expressed his own art. Do you think he would have been offended?
That's why the cigarette smell would probably be all the more noticeable while shooting any of Lynch's works in this century: he's still in there chain smoking on set, which likely gave license to some of the rest of the casts and crews who still smoked to do likewise.
Obsessed with the tiny Eraserhead baby figure
Where at
Above the H in Lynch
Edit: typo
Thanks
No problem
All these moralizers in this post. Lynch wasn't your type of guy and would have laughed at the idea he was being disrespected.
thank you lol. unfortunately this is reddit where everyone is allergic to being happy and educating themselves

You miss him? Did you know him?
This is unnecessarily rude
oh stop
Do you just log on to be a massive dickhead or..
The handmade eraserhead baby has me weirdly emotional

He was a great driver in Dune.
I love the quote. Perfect
Did you leave a plate of black coffee?
LOL i wish i could have. we have plans to go to bob’s big boy and arrange some flowers in one of their drink cups for him. maybe someone could do the same with a coffee cup 🤍
Lovely to see all the prayer beads with his TM Foundation.
Did they remove those giant blocks?
i didn’t see any giant blocks, so i suppose they did. the grass isn’t fully grown in on the earth though, so they did have some traffic cones blocking the front of the gravesite
Why the coke and cigs ? I’m out of all loops
A lifetime, starting at 8 yo., of smoking is what eventually killed him COPD, emphysema and dehydration. But I'm with you on the Cokes. No clue.

People acting like they know what the dead celebrity would have wanted. 🤣
What is with the dead plastic fingers on the left?
Dave liked to smoke a Marlboro and drink a Coke.
Crazy to leave cigs on his grave when he died because of emphysema. He quit smoking before his death because he was dependent on oxygen…
He didn't want to die, and stated he would have done things differently, but he lived his own life, and expressed his own art. Do you think he would have been offended?
Technically, we’re all dependent on oxygen…
I was born addicted to it.
My mom was an oxygen addict and wouldn’t quit for her pregnancy.
That's awful. Tell me she at least stopped drinking. Water is so bad for the baby.
I had fetal oxygen syndrome.
Stop leaving garbage at a person’s grave.
User name checks out.
No you.
I don't think he wants more cigs after dying of emphysema 😬😬😬
That's so disrespectful to just chuck cigs and sodas at a gravestone. Coins, a piece of paper under a stone I can see; but this is disgusting.
He was a big fan of both Coca-Cola and cigarettes. So these offerings are clearly well intended, if poorly advised.
I understand that but just pour some out for him. Leaving cigs around is just gross. Smoke one for him and take yr butt.
You're getting downvoted but when it rains the old cigs will be gross
It's fine I'm a human being, I could give a shit about downvotes lol. It is groady as a mf.
A great artist and visionary director, but man – can you imagine what his sets must have smelled like?
Like cigarettes? Yeah man, that’s what everything everywhere smelled like up until pretty recent history.
