Hello! I had my first ultrasound today and they saw a gestational sac measuring 5w5d but no yolk sac or fetal pole. My LMP was 7 weeks ago but I expect that I ovulate late. HCG was 133 10 days ago, 266 8 days ago, and 674 6 days ago. So good doubling. Based on the HCG the nurse thought I probably ovulated a little over a week late, she estimated from after the betas that also at 5w5d today.
How concerned should I be? This was a surprise pregnancy the month before starting fertility treatments so I am really hoping this one works out.
If you ovulated late this could still be normal. It's unfortunately inconclusive until a follow up scan. With no yolk sac visible at the first scan a heart beat must be seen two weeks from today.

I do OBGYN ultrasound and at the 5ish week mark things can change dramatically from day to day. It could be that if you had a scan tomorrow there would have been a yolk sac visible. Personally I would hold out hope until you know otherwise since all other signs are looking good and the betas match what was visualized

I was 5w4d at my first ultrasound and only a gestational sac was seen. At 6w4d baby was seen measuring 6w2d. I was sure of my ovulation date as well.

Yeah, I wish I had waited to schedule the ultrasound for later but they wanted to check if it was ectopic because I have a blocked tube.
It could be a blighted ovum, are you going for a repeat scan? If you’re 7 weeks based on LMP and measuring a week behind it could possibly just be a delay, but It’s good to be positive but also guard your heart regardless.
