Talk me off the ledge please. I’m 12+2, my last good ultrasound was at 11 weeks. I’ve caught someone of virus which has caused congestion, low grade fever, and diarrhea. Starting to feel better now—tested negative at home for COVID, but wondering if I have the flu (yes I got the flu shot). Even though we had a perfect ultrasound a week ago, my brain is telling me that this sickness killed my baby. Please talk some reason into my brain!

You will be okay. When I was pregnant with my second child, my first was in school. I was sick every single week from September until she was born in April. I was even sick in labor. I got an ear infection so bad I had to take antibiotics. I was popping Tylenol all the time for fevers and sore throats. I even caught covid at 7ish weeks.

She is a perfectly healthy 1.5 year old.

I’ve been sick twice now in my current pregnancy (after 7 losses) and the heartbeat is still there. I’m glad I have a pocket Doppler at home for reassurance. I think the little ones are quite well protected even if we suffer ☺️ my midwife is also not concerned unless I would have fever for days and a high one at that

I had Covid around 15 weeks and babe is still doing well at 32 weeks. I’m actually currently sick with whatever is going around and my doctors aren’t concerned at all. Free antibodies for baby!

I just got over Flu A at 31 weeks and had a really bad cold first trimester (could’ve been Covid- who knows). As long as you are keeping temperature down then it is unlikely to harm the baby.

I JUST got over Flu A - BAD cough, congestion, high fevers (ended up in the ER for fever management), dehydration. I was terrified something happened to my baby. I had an ultrasound today 11 weeks 2 days and everything was perfect and he was bouncing around like crazy!

I joked that I thought I jumbled him from all the coughing and my OB even said they have no clue what’s going on in there.
