I saw this post and was lamenting that here is a case where there is a crabsub but no catsub.
Actually I looked at the catsub exists but is orphaned. Would require a dedicated mod to hunt for content to keep the sub alive, but it’s ripe for the taking with no mods.

On the other hand the sub won’t launch and take off with high activity just because you open it. Humorously, somewhat like adoption of real cats, are you prepared for care and feeding?
For a catsub this means you should be prepared to forage for good content to post yourself occasionally to keep the sub active as well as promoting the sub (such as posting an appropriate link to it in various comments to high traffic catsubs). Like this: r/catswithknives material!
In particular you need to route your request by posting to r/redditrequest and meet their requirements. One of these is the 2FA be enabled on your Reddit account. Doing so sometimes will require reinstalling the app on your phone.
