We've added a bunch of things to cut down on the off topic junk. And we've added a couple more bots to spot the spammers.
Rules:
Post pics or videos of cats doing cat things.
No compilations.
No spam.
No health questions.
No fund raising.
No karma farming.
No staged submissions.
No reposts.
Hope that means no more, "The last thing you ate is now this cat's name" and variations of that.
Gawd, me too. I get that it's 99.9% bots, but it's so damn unoriginal.
It’s an easy way to get a bunch of karma sadly
OML I hate those posts. I always downvote them
I hate those too, because it often means a bazillion new accounts posting and they all get caught in the various new account filters and have to be manually approved.
I don't need a rule to remove those. I can remove anything I feel like.
Or name my cat. Removal of these 2 would make any animal sub better.
There is a sub dedicated to this!
Can you give an example of something that breaks #7?
Cats posed in costumes.
Good rules, the recent surge of compilations on all car subreddits is getting out of hand
Are just pics of our cats living life ok? I like showing off my cats not so much now days as I had 14 and now I have 7 🫡 asking if you'd consider that karma farming?
Got it
What’s the policy on stories written by AI? I know they generate a lot of engagement from people who haven’t learned how to recognize they’re fake, but they’re such a drag.
