I just came back from Mass today and it was the first time I accepted the Eucharist by the same priest after my confirmation (I only converted this year) and a weird thing happened.
As the Eucharist was softening on my tongue, it gained the texture of skin and I could've sworn I had a slight taste of blood in my mouth.
I'm not going to say it was a miracle, but it was definitely strange.
Maybe ! Could be a grace to help you really have faith in transubstantiation :)
Well, it IS His Body and Blood. Yes, I believe the Lord wanted to show you that. You are very blessed!
For every major miracle that is recognized by the church, there are thousands of little miracles that happen all around us.
Even if you can never prove that this happened, if it brings you closer to certainty in the doctrine of transubstantiation, that is such a fantastic gift!
Wow. This is great
Thank you for sharing. Our Lord gives us special graces as he sees fit to help us along our journey.
I definitely believe. You received His actual Body in the Eucharist. Be blessed!
Thank you for sharing! I love hearing the little miracles happening all around us. Little signs to help keep faith tangible. I love it! You are truly blessed.
I think you should talk to your Priest about it. If nothing else it might lift his spirits to hear your testimony :)
Might have. Be like Our Lady, ponder all these things in your heart. Thank God for the experience. Be firm in your belief.
When considering things like this we have to consider all plausible natural explanations. The "texture of skin" could have been imagined, and the taste of blood could be from some blood already in you si uses, throat, or mouth you didn't notice previously. Miracles are real, but we have to stay rational, too.
God does work in mysterious ways ! You're not the first Catholic to experience something like that. God deals with us all differently and I've learned to just keep some of those special ways to myself. It's between me and Him and I keep it that way. Oh, my wife I could tell or close brother in Christ perhaps, but something's are special between me and Him ! Thanks for sharing !
I’m not sure but best you discuss it with a spiritual advisor. It sounds exciting but we also must be very discerning of these things.
Am I the only one who kinda felt like giving a sort of smart aleck answer - "Every instance of the Eucharist is a Eucharistic miracle!" I didn't think of it in a mean spirited way. But maybe you experienced this additional miracle - I can't say, but it's possible.
