my bun is free roam now post neuter. i know he's a lot happier after being free roam because ive seen more binkies since then. but lately he seems to miss being caged up. i had this 2x1 panel setup in case i needed to have him enclosed for a bit. he goes inside willingly, maybe he finds comfort behind bars.
Rabbits may instinctively gravitate to places where they think human hands can easily reach. Places like behind a wire mesh, or under chair/table legs, are spots where my rabbits go. They know that it takes me time to reach my hand (or a vacuum) under there and they'll have plenty of warning beforehand because I'll start moving the furniture around before reaching for a dropped item or sweeping. That's also how they know I'll never actually catch them under there so I never bother trying. If one needs to be corralled for veterinary purposes, I do it in a more low-stress fashion anyway.
Our buns are identical twins 😱😱
