I got a Luna 2 today that was shipped to me. It's in Spanish. I was able to navigate it pretty well, but I can't change it to English because for some stupid reason it needs the language file to be on the SD Card. Well I found the file nP2-35.ENG online, and tried t change it but it said error version. So I'm trying to find the right version and if anyone has it. I don't want to have to return it over this. Thanks!

  • Hello thestenz :)

What the “error version” message usually means is: the .ENG file you found does not match your device’s software/region build, so the machine rejects it (different Luna variants and firmware branches can ask for different nP-*.ENG filenames, and mismatches trigger that exact behavior).

    Here’s the practical path forward:

Verify you’re in the right menu and the SD is actually recognized From the main screen (or even while it’s blowing), press and hold the Dial + Ramp for ~5 seconds to enter the Maintenance menu, then go into the Service Menu and find Language.

If the SD card icon isn’t showing / it isn’t detected, the language option won’t work regardless.

If it’s detected but Language still won’t switch, you need the correct official SD contents. In the Luna II documentation, React Health explicitly points users back to the supplier/manufacturer for SD card needs (which aligns with the reality here: the “right” language pack is tied to the device build).

Best solution: get the original SD card (or a replacement) from the seller/DME/React Health.

If you bought it second-hand, the seller should provide the original SD card that shipped with that exact unit (or you should treat it as “not as described”). If they can’t, I would contact React Health / your DME and request a replacement SD card / language pack for your exact model.

If you want the sub to help you pinpoint which variant you’re on (without anyone trading sketchy files): please post a photo of your model number (LG2000 vs LG2A00 vs QX variant) and the software version screen, plus a pic of the exact filename the machine is asking for (some units request nP2-xx.ENG, some nP3-xx.ENG, etc.). That usually explains the mismatch immediately. :)

nP2-35.ENG is the file. I was on a CPAP board and downloaded it. It just doesn't work. This is a factory re-certified machine I got from CPAPX. I can do anything with them until Monday, but I waited a week for it and I'm not looking forward to them telling me to send it back, especially with the Holidays so quickly approaching. I did get an SD Card in it. I do get to the Language Menu and what I tried seems to have worked for some. In particular the article was from someone who had it in Chinese, but was able to use the file to get it back to English. Most systems just have all the languages built in. Needing a separate file is idiotic and poor manufacturing. I also can't reset the time which is truly idiotic.

    Item No: LGA200 SKU: LG2A02 Model: G2S A20 Version G2.1-1.71.07

Okay, thanks, since yours is factory re-certified from CPAPX, the cleanest fix is to have them send you the correct official SD language payload (or a replacement SD image) for that exact firmware, rather than returning the whole unit. I’d push for that on Monday.

If you’re trying to avoid losing another week with holiday shipping, I do have a Luna G3 APAP available and I can cut you a low cost deal so you can get up and running immediately, then you can return the G2 to CPAPX once they’re open. Zero pressure, just an option if “fast and done” matters more than waiting for the right language pack.

If you want, reply with whether you’re US-based (shipping) and whether you need APAP or fixed CPAP, and I’ll outline what I can do via PM.

This cost me very little. I'm on SSD. My other machine was dying. I got a loan to get this one. My insurance is being crappy about covering it. I will call Monday and push for what you said. At least in the meantime I can use it. I just wish I could get the time set right.
