I used to be good with my cpap, it would help dramatically. Now for some reason it feels suffocating, I wake up in the night and have to remove it. Ive cleaned the filter, replaced the filter, put it in different areas, but nothing is working.
Raise the min pressure +2 and try again. This is a common symptom of starting therapy... often these machines are sent out with factory default 4-20cm pressure. If you find 4 set 7cm min.... 4 is not enough for an adult.

Whether you're just starting CPAP therapy, troubleshooting issues, or helping a loved one, you've come to the right place. We're here to support you through every leak, pressure tweak, and victory nap.
If you'd like advice, please include your machine model, mask type, pressure settings, and OSCAR or SleepHQ data if possible.
I read that CPAPs can alter your CO2 saturation in your blood for a variety of health reasons. Unsure if that could apply but it definitely makes people feel suffocate.
Has your weight changed a lot?
No
Could you please share machine make and model and settings?
It's a Sefam Nea, that's all I know. The doctors adjusted the settings for me, not too sure what they are
Okay, thank you.

Thank you, ill try it tonight.
I’ve seen this happen with my maternal uncle.
He was doing great on CPAP for months, then suddenly it started feeling suffocating, and he would wake up and rip the mask off.
In his case, it wasn’t the machine. A few common things caused it:
He uses a CPAP from respbuy.com, checked the data, and his doctor slightly adjusted the minimum pressure and EPR. That alone fixed the issue.
Usually, this stuff is tweakable.
If it worked before, it can work again.
Thanks I'm going to call the respiratory team on Monday, they gave it to me
