TCU caught lighting in a bottle that year. Garrett Riley, their OC and Broyles Award winner, is now an offensive assistant at Missouri. Joe Gillespie, their DC and Broyles Award finalist, is now a head coach in high school.
For what it’s worth (and I know talking in the context of that game, there’s not really anything), I think Dykes still has you better than people expected. I think people thought that was such a fluke year to the point where everyone thought you wouldn’t be competitive again. But you’ve had two straight nine-win seasons now. Not CFP-level seasons, but solid enough that I don’t think it’s impossible for you guys to compete in this era.
Kinda crazy that Georgia has 4 losses to Bama in this time when I’d argue Georgia was the better team each of the last 5 years. The only 2 wins are rematch games also
Well there's only been 3 losses. 2023 SECCG, 2024 & 2025 regular season. But generally it is annoying that they always turn in their best game against us (except this last one). Edit: wait, I'm dumb, it said last 5 years, I thought it was since the TCU game
We saw so many medics because people kept slipping on the steps. I hope they since went back and put some grit on the steps for traction bc they were very slippery! Lots of standing water in the concourses too.
Funny enough the speech that came out during the TCU game wasn't even from the TCU game. In all likelihood, it was from the Florida game. Which is funny because Kirby's halftime speech from the prior year Florida game had already been leaked and is just as iconic
10 days ago today USC lost to TCU 30-27 in the Valero Alamo Bowl. USC’s record over the last 9 days? 0-0. I just think it’s crazy that if you subtract our record from the final score of that game, you get the score of that game
Unfortunately this game will always have people overlook that tremendous fiesta bowl game. Me and my former head coach who roots for Michigan were both there at that game, and since we went our separate ways on bad terms the following summer, it made me smile reflecting on that game today that my college football team beat his.
I hate that TCU is used as some scapegoat about “hypothetical” discussions, because in that very same playoff, if we follow hypothetical logic, TCU beat a Michigan team that beat an Ohio State team that BARELY lost to Georgia.
Hypothetically they were pretty level going into that final.
Sometimes the gameplan, momentum, matchups, just don’t go your way…sometimes badly. Hypotheticals are just silly. TCU still earned its spot in that game.
I would’ve liked to see how the game goes if Kendre Miller were playing. For all that was made about Max Duggan, Kendre Miller was the heart and soul of the offense. I don’t think it would’ve changed the result or anything, but I think it the score might’ve been a bit more respectful, and the TCU offense look a bit more competent.
this is not a fun fact
Hey at least we were there, and hung 51 on a bunch of pretenders on the way
I’d be happy if ucla was even in a position to get their asses handed to them in the championship game
Now you know what UD Flyers fans think in Dayton, OH!!!
2020 Dayton is a huge what-if for NCAAB
Truth and love.
True, unless I was Norte Dame.... Or Oregon... That would suck.
Unsubscribe 😭
I knew I loved TCU
I hate how people only remember this score and not the fact TCU beat Michigan to make it there
🏆

garrett had one foot out the door prior to the championship, he was interviewing or accepted the job already before the game
gillespie was going to get exposed sooner or later. we came from behind in quite a few games that season, our defense killed us in a bunch of games
Gillespie coached a helluva game vs UT though.

I mean at this point, we’re at about four or five “fluke seasons” this century. You’d think people would catch on!
🤣
But it’s still a fact…and an amazing one
I hate it, personally
I don't know, seems like a pretty fun fact to me.
Back to back survives another year.
The Georgia Bulldogs are the back to back reigning SEC Champions
Damn. We’re regressing.
Next: back to Reliaquest bowl champions
Just means more
You’re welcome and thank you Miami?
Pain
It could be a long long time before another team goes back to back.
Uhhhh idk IU might run it back
They lose their entire team. The average age is 23 on the team. I’d doubt it
Wahooo

2021 SECCG.
I mean, it's also annoying that in a couple of those years, you won the games that matter most
Maybe I’m biased but fully healthy I’d take 2021 Bama over 2021 Georgia. The last 4 years I’d agree with though
I would imagine people looking at it objectively with the top two WRs out for the National Championship Game would agree.
That was not a balanced year for passing targets, really.
The best injured WR in that game was on Georgia’s sidelines
I was there and it may have been the rainiest day in LA history. Thank God it wasn't played at the Rose Bowl.
So Georgia wins that game 55-0 because our run game on both sides were on point that night.
We saw so many medics because people kept slipping on the steps. I hope they since went back and put some grit on the steps for traction bc they were very slippery! Lots of standing water in the concourses too.
Funny. I needed a pick me up this morning so listened to Kirby’s pregame speech from that game.
I’m not even a Georgia fan… but started barking at passersby.
Funny enough the speech that came out during the TCU game wasn't even from the TCU game. In all likelihood, it was from the Florida game. Which is funny because Kirby's halftime speech from the prior year Florida game had already been leaked and is just as iconic
The man hates Florida, it's on his blood, like microplastics - can't get rid of it, only gets worse with time
Better not do the Georgia bark at your boss
Eh. That boss sucks. I bark at my boss all the time. They bark back. Then we get back to coding.
My new boss went to Sparty-I just wont mention Hitler to him.

Explain this in NBA terms
Here I asked ChatGPT for you:
Kobe dropped 60 on the Jazz. Kobe’s record since that night? 0-0.
If you take Kobe’s record post retirement and subtract that from his final point total…
60 – (0 – 0) = 60
In other words, he still finished with 60 points.
Let that sink in. • Zero games played • Zero wins • Zero losses • And yet somehow • His score remains identical
Thats that mamba mentality at work. These kids today just dont get it.
can't explain that
Rams legend Stetson Bennett still hasn’t played a game since.
The fact that he’s on a 55-man roster with his measurables is an accomplishment imo
He very much has.
He did?
preseason games
Glory glory to ole Georgia
God, they are awful since that game
Haven’t even won a playoff game. So sad.
Oh good, I definitely wanted to talk about this today.
Wait but there's only been 6 losses. 3 to Bama, 2 to Ole Miss, 1 to ND Edit: wait, I'm dumb, it said last 5 years, I thought it was since the TCU game
2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 = 5
There was 4 losses to Bama actually
Unfortunately this game will always have people overlook that tremendous fiesta bowl game. I will never forgive TCU for making UGA look that good. Sure they were the best, but there was no need to let them ass blast you like that
Should’ve made it to the natty…you guys could have prevented this!!
Georgia vs GT natty would feed generations in this state
The Georgia sports curse would somehow result in both teams losing in an embarrassing fashion.
sorry about Trae Young brother
Man what fun did I have betting on that game.
Really makes you think.
The Algorithm running our perceived reality is having a laugh with this one
Hole up! This is off-season chatter...
It's like poetry. It rhymes.
UGA'S Kicker? Albert Einstein.
The curse has been lifted. TCU in the Natty next year.
But the sec sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It does. You guys don’t
I’m not sure you should talk about conferences
I’m hearing the X-Files theme in my head right now
You hate to see it.
Very cool we ended the season on an 8-32 loss so looking forward to that
“It’s like poetry. They rhyme.”
This seems so long ago with how fast-changing college football is now.
If I check the tapes are both teams wearing leather helmets?
Stop the count!
even if this isn't true I'd be happy if OP made up one or two digits to get it to match.
All downhill from here
That game really made Dabo think, “Maybe Garrett Riley is our guy”
So that’s why they decided to lose their CFP game. Had to complete the meme prophecy.
Ironic because 65-7 is about to be the final score of tonight’s game
Very frustrating that that OSU kick wasn't good. That could have been our blowout.
Half Life 3 confirmed
Is OP insinuating that 65-7 is somehow not unbelievably good? These ragebaity posts are getting out of hand
Oh yes, the 4 team play-in. TCU would’ve been eliminated in the new format before even making it that far
Hang the banner
We have, we won two conference championships and set the bowl blowout record in the Orange Bowl during that timeframe.
What zero playoff wins since 2022 does to a guy. Stellar regular season record though!
We got a lot of conference titles though Mr. SEC
