So, the miniseries based on the book we're reading for March, Good Omens, is going to start airing on Amazon May 31. I think we should definitely do a group watch of it! It's going to be amazing!

How's everyone liking the book so far?

  • Whaaat?! I live under a dang rock and now I'm so excited. I've read this book before and I love it.

yes!! It's going to be great :) Apparently Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett were working on a sequel to it when Terry died, so Neil has incorporated parts of the sequel into the miniseries.

Aaa that's so cool. The cast looks amazing!!!

  • I am loving the descriptions of an idyllic boyhood combined with the evils of the apocalypse. Just when it gets too cheesy or dreadful it switches around and it's just delightful.

  • I'm still waiting for my copy to arrive at the library. Hopefully I'll be able to race through it once it arrives. How are you liking it so far?

It's good :) I read it years ago, so this is a reread. It's amazing how much I've forgotten. I'm laughing my ass off.

  • I loved it! Listened on Audible during my commute. Neil Gaiman is great on Audible. Stardust is another of his I really enjoyed.

I got the audiobook of The Graveyard Book from the library. It was super good; the kids liked it too.

  • I love Good Omens. It's one of the books we have two copies for: paperback for away from the house (appointments, etc), and hardback for around the house. :D

  • Somehow missed this was the book. I read it forever ago, guess it's time for a re-read!

  • Ah I missed that we had a book already, I'm so glad it's something I wanted to read anyway. YAY! I should get through that one quick, it looks like a good one. I'm excited for the show, too!

  • I've been listening to The Ocean at the End of the Lane during school commute. It's my first audiobook and I like it. I normally hate being read to, but I spend 4 hours a day in the car on days my daughter has both school and work. And I can't nap, read, crochet, or reddit while driving....
