I think if the replacement needs to be replaced it isnt that difficult anymore either. I think they typically just replace a layer in there if it wears out depending on the type of artificial hip. Kind of like changing a gasket or something compared the total hip replacement

So, medicine advances so much in that timeline that those estimates get completely blown out of the water with new approaches and techniques.
