Had he shown up in traffic court, he would have been lucky if he was only laughed out of the building, as it would not only be thrown out, but serve as further evidence at the eventual civil trial he likely still has coming his way.

I think it varies but they kinda do like more background type police stuff like organize security and serve papers.
