Honestly? A honey badger Quirk just turned up to eleven.
Not the cute animal facts version, but the unhinged survival monster version. Super high pain tolerance, insane durability, and that “I don’t care if I’m losing, I’m still coming at you” energy. They can tank hits that would drop most people, keep fighting through injuries, and shrug off toxins or venom like it’s an inconvenience.
The best part is the escalation. The worse the situation gets, the more dangerous they become. Hurt them? They hit harder. Corner them? They get faster and meaner. They don’t quit they just double down. It’s less about raw flashy power and more about being impossible to put down, which in MHA is terrifying.
Downside is obvious though: control. Stay in a fight too long and they start slipping into feral mode less strategy, more “solve problem by charging it.” Great for last stands and brawls, terrible for subtle hero work.
Basically: a Quirk for someone who survives out of pure spite and refuses to stay down when logic says they should be unconscious. That’s peak honey badger energy.
Jellyfish would be a cool one. Especially immortal jellyfish. Ability to regrow limbs and regenerate severe injuries, to sting, envelope with tentacles, and to continually revert to a larval stage if you got too old and start again.
Was honestly kinda surprised there wasnt a Beast Boy type character.
As many others have said, I think the best ones would be human scaling of all the bugs that are ridiculously strong for their size like ants, or any number if beetle species.
For instance Rabbit is obviously far stronger than what you would expect from a Rabbit powerset especially in the strength angle since it allows Mirko to hang with top tiers like High-ends and Shigaraki.
Lion is superstrong as well but that is expected. But still it gives Shishido some of the best feats we have seen, on par with a top 10 hero like Gang Orca. He can shoot claw blades, has super-strength, superspeed, enhanced durability, a sonic roar, and possibly enhanced senses. It's an all-rounder quirk.
Orca is another one - we have already seen Gang Orca go toe to toe with a High-end.
Tsuyu's frog is also very versatile given the range of abilities it gives her. But a lot more could be done with it especially since there are some crazy frog abilities out there.
Personally if I were to pick some animals myself it would be:
Tardigrade - very high survivability (would almost be virtually unkillable if scaled to or beyond human levels)
Jellyfish (both the electric and poisonous ones)
Rhino (for just pure power)
Bombadeer Beetle (bombs + an external carapace armor)
A T-Rex. An OC I have an idea for has the following quirk: Quirk - Dinosaur
[The OC] can undergo a partial transformation that gives his body the properties of a Tyrannosaurus Rex. These properties are:
Enhanced leg strength, allowing him to run at high speeds and deliver powerful kicks
A second jaw overlapping the first one, which moves independently and has the strength of a real T-Rex's bite
Scales all over his body which provide protection from minor injuries
Some small downy feathers on his back, which are purely decorative. The feathers are currently being shed and will disappear completely by the time [The OC] turns 18

And then it comes with a drawback that the user has to physically be touching shit in order to activate the power boost.

I feel like a wolf would be a sick vigilante. Night vision. Good sense of smell and hearing. Fast too. Perfect for quick skirmishes.
