Do anyone feel that Deku and all the student look very short in general ? If you didn't know both Naruto and Deku is 166cm but Midoriya always look like a midget or kid everywhere whereas Naruto often look as tall or only slightly shorter than other villian and adults... See Aizawa and Deku / Kakashi and Naruto height difference... Kakashi and Aizawa only small 2cm different in height. Deku looks 2 head short than Aizawa.. whereas Naruto only half a head short... Kakashi still look taller due to his hairstyle....

Despite being the same height 166cm Naruto look tall and Deku look like midget if we put Naruto and Deku side by side it will be funny as hell.

  • Aizawa is tall for Asian height standards

Deku and 1A are surrounded by people taller than even western people standards

Aizawa is 6 foot, which is considerably tall

Endeavor is 6'5", which is very tall for most of the population, especially wuth his build

All Might muscle form is a behemoth, inhuman even

Deku himself is slightly shorter than average Asians, and Todoroki is of the higher end at 176cm

If you noticed while watching the series, between class 1A and civilians or even other heroes, theyre similar in height, perspectives just gets warped because 1A spends a lot of time with tall people

Present Mic, Aizawa's classmate, stands tall at 185cm/6 foot 1

Horikoshi when designing people closer to 1A he made them taller, to contrast with students in UA of course

My Hero Academia is actually very consistent, relative to some shounen out there

Mineta official height literally depicts him as tall as he is shown, so theres little artistic liberty taken i.e. his height isnt exagerrated to contrast his classmates and thats hes actually average sized, he's literally in the flesh short

  • It's just Horikoshi's artstyle which makes most of the kids look shorter. I guess it's also done on purpose to symbolize their youth.

  • Animation (not just anime) in general tends to do a poor job with teenage boy heights. Marvel's Spiderman was particularly bad. In one scene Tony Stark scans Pete and says he's 5'-10". Meanwhile Pete's walking next to Aunt May who's about a foot taller than him.

As for Deku, MHA height tends to vary a bit overall in the anime.

  • Naruto just isn't very consistent with heights

  • This is like the arguments about dragon ball.

  • IIRC a random factoid I noticed one day, Mineta’s canonical height actually has him being taller than a DnD halfling… he does not look it.😅🤷‍♂️

  • Bro. You should compare Deku with Naruto part 1 height not Shippuden

  • thats the adult version of Naruto. Not the kid...

That’s not adult Naruto. That’s late teen naruto who’s around 16 in shippuden. Adult Naruto is much taller, he’s 5 ft 11

wtf he was 15 when he learned Sage mood!!!! WTF, oh yeah its anime...

  • Deku is 166, Naruto is 180 cm. Question answered.

They were both 166cm when they were teens

Naruto and Deku are the same age in these pictures.

In the screenshots the OP shared, they are both the same height.

No they aren't? Deku reaches Aizawa's shoulder and Naruto is almost as tall as Kakashi if we don't count the hair.

I'm talking about their official heights. Both Deku and Naruto are the same height at these points in their respective stories. They are both 166 cm.

Naruto is only 180 as an adult.

  • Tf is a cm

    1cm = 0.00010936132983377078 football fields
