I love how the story went, I love the suit, love losing OFA. But this all took place in what, a year? Within a year? If Deku had like two to three years, just that with how intelligent he is in using quirks, he would have been godlike. Danger sense would make it to where anyone trying to hurt him literally can't hit surprise attacks. Float lets him become weightless and blackwhip can come from any part of his body. Actually getting good with blackwhip would let him bind someone and lift them off the ground without him having to move a finger. Imagine if he had time to bulk up enough and improve his strength to handle around 100 percent of OFA's stockpiling ability without having to wear support gear like the mid-gauntlets and without having to use his other quirks to mimic the power. And at that, use full cowling 100 percent of the time if he wanted to like All Might did. This kid became one of the strongest people on the planet in like a year, under all of the shows events, and that was him improvising the entire time even at the end of the show. Imagine a timeline where Deku managed to keep OFA with all of it's library of quirks, and grew up with that power, there wouldn't be any form of villain that could lay a finger on him and if they did he wouldn't be able to feel the difference between a human punch and getting it with a fighter jet.

a small nitpick on danger sense is that suprise attacks can still happen- as long as the attacker has no malicious intent. we see this twice, with 1a attacking him to rescue him and also when toga surprises him. toga just genuinely has no ill will because she thinks this is love
Yeah I figured I was rambling enough so I just chose to not specify that one with like three more sentences lol. W profile pic as well!
Or when ShigarAFO is hit by Ojiro and Sero because he doesn’t consider them threats so Danger Sense doesn’t activate.
Or when Hatsume
The ending deku deserved😤
I would love to see what Horikoshi thinks Izuku would end up looking like if he kept OFA, that alternate would be dope!
I'd really love to see it too
Yeah he could be. But that wasn't the point of the story. But it is fun to think about what could have been. I think it is what makes this story much more impactful.
I'm sure it's what Horikoshi maybe always wanted because I remember the prototype story had the first version of Izuku stay quirkless, and he used gadgets and stuff that he made, if you don't know what I'm referring to and search it up it's easy to find and is pretty dope but the story we ended up getting while not "perfect" is perfect in my eyes!
Who cares about the point, it wouldn’t have changed the point if deku was the strongest
Not growing up with it, but my favorite MHA fanfic is pretty much exactly how you describe; OFA hits singularity as Izuku is walking in for the Entrance Exam, and the presence from the beginning of the Vestiges greatly changes the details of the story while keeping the timeline of events basically the same.
Title?
One for All and Eight for the Ninth
Looks like that site is invitation only… do you happen to have one, perchance?
You just have to make an account.
Nope? The login page explicit says you have to request an invite and you’ll get in a queue…
Edit: I just tried and the system informed me I got in the queue and I should get my invite in about two weeks. So much for “Just make an account”?
It has been a while since I made my account so I forgot how AO3 operated. Yes, there is a waiting perdiod but that's it - make the account, gain access, and read the fic. The website handles the queue so the original commenter you responded to couldn't do anything to give you access.
Is it ongoing, completed, or abandoned? I have to know before I commit.
No official word of abandonment, though it has been 11 months since the last update; however, Chapter 78 is into the endgame, so I'm still holding out hope it'll be finished this year.
I hate it when that happens, but I'll subscribe and see if there is an update. I don't want to read 400k word to find out the author bailed at the eleventh hour. I've been burned too many times before.
You are already hooked so my thoughts and prayers go to you. I hope there is a satisfactory conclusion for your sake.
Would have been fun! But I do like the direction the story ended up going in.
i really wish someone creates a what-if type story where deku still has OFA after the final battle
That was my biggest disappointment with the show. My heart is still reeling from hearing kacchan cry because he and deku wouldn't be able to chase each other, getting stronger. I was so hopeful he'd get to keep at least some of the power.
And I get the point is that hero work is kind of dying off and having someone be super strong isn't needed but man I wanted to see some of that story so bad.
Eh, It's a cool thought but AFO is a supergenius and he'd have NO way to beat Deku if he had 100%. Hell he barely even could stand against Deku at 45% in an objectively stronger body. I prefer the fact that Deku gave up his quirk to save Tomura tho. Deku da goat
bro what a spoiler :( what happend to the good old spoiler warning
Man, the finale aired a month ago (and the last chapter of the manga one year and a half before that) honestly I’d rather finish watching it than risk getting spoiled browsing the sub…
there are ppl that look the show once in a while lol
